A sex offender who groomed a young boy and sent him photos and videos of naked men has been jailed.

Martyn Fryatt groomed the child over the course of a year, sending him sexually explicit messages and images and videos of naked men and young boys. The 71-year-old repeatedly told the boy to delete the photos so that his parents wouldn’t find them.

Fryatt, a former Christian missionary, was arrested after the boy’s mum discovered the images and messages on her son’s phone and called the police. The phone was analysed by specialist officers who uncovered numerous sexually inappropriate WhatsApp messages that had been sent by Fryatt, along with images and videos of men and young boys exposing themselves.

Fryatt, of Burnopfield, was charged with several offences, including making indecent images of a child, possessing a prohibited image of a child, and engaging in sexual communication with a child. He admitted the charges and appeared at Durham Crown Court on August 20 where he was jailed for a year and two months.

He was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the sex offender register, both for ten years.

A Lowestoft man has been jailed after a series of ‘traumatic and distressing’ sexual offences involving a child.

Timothy Neale, 55, of Montgomery Avenue, was sentenced to 19 years’ imprisonment at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday.

In the lead up to his two-week trial in April, Neale pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape, two counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act, plus one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and one count of sexual assault on a child.

Neale was originally charged with the above offences in May 2020.

For two counts of rape, Neale was jailed for 19 years each.

In addition, he was handed 12 years each for a further three counts of rape, 12 months and nine months, respectively, for the two counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act.

Neale was also jailed for 30 months for one count of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child plus three years for one count of sexual assault of a child.

The sentences will run concurrently.

DC Williams of the Internet Child Abuse Investigations Team at Suffolk Police, commended the victim for their bravery.

“It has been a long journey to reach this stage for the victim and their family to endure,” DC Williams said.

“They have also shown incredible bravery in terms of reporting it to police and also providing evidence during the investigation, court hearings and trial which again shows their courage in securing this conviction.”

DC Williams added: “This case demonstrates we are absolutely committed to pursuing perpetrators of non-recent incidents and supporting victims.

“We urge victims of any serious violent or sexual offence to come forward to the police, seek support from the agencies available and we remain committed to supporting all victims who report sexual offences.”

A SEX worker was subjected to a terrifying four-hour ordeal in a Bradford flat where she “thought she was going to die”.

Two men have now been jailed over the incident, with Judge Ahmed Nadim telling the pair they had behaved in a “violent and callous way”.

He said they did not care about the damage they were doing to the victim, but their priority was to ‘satisfy their lust’.

El Fadaidill Ibrahim, a Sudanese asylum seeker who had been living in Queens Road, Halifax, had been granted temporary leave to remain in the UK in 2022 after his asylum applications in Italy and Germany had been rejected, a court heard.

Bradford Crown Court was told that the 29-year-old’s father and brothers had been killed in his native country after the government declared his tribe to be “terrorists” and Ibrahim himself had been jailed in the Sudan when he was just 14 on “fake” charges.

Solicitor advocate John Bottomley said his client fled Sudan in 2014 and in 2020 he had crossed the Channel in a small boat.

The court heard that in 2022 Ibrahim was granted leave to remain in this country for five years.

But in March 2023 Ibrahim and fellow countryman Mohammed Abou-Gardda, 30, persuaded a sex worker to visit them at Abou-Gardda’s flat in Pemberton Drive, off Great Horton Road, and subjected her to a four-hour ordeal.

Prosecutor Phillip Standfast described how the duo assured the complainant that she wouldn’t have to do anything and when she turned up she was given £10 to buy some crack cocaine.

The pair were both drinking brandy and one of them tried to get the complainant to drink some of the alcohol.

The men put their hands up her back under her clothing, but she told them to get off her.

As she tried to leave the flat both defendants grabbed her and Ibrahim put both his hands around her neck and started to strangle her.

Mr Standfast said the woman tried to get his hands off her neck, but he was too strong.

“She could not breathe and thought she was going to die,” he said.

“She thinks that Mr Abou-Gardda could see her face changing colour and her eyes rolling. He tried to get Ibrahim’s hands off her throat, but he was not able to do so either.

“Mr Abou-Gardda then punched or slapped Ibrahim and he let go.”

The complainant sat in a chair crying and shaking as Ibrahim walked around the flat carrying an empty brandy bottle and threatened to kill her.

Ibrahim left for a short time, but returned with a bottle of whisky and Abou-Gardda told the complainant to be “nice” and give Ibrahim a “kiss and a cuddle”.

The woman said she was scared and didn’t want to be alone with Ibrahim, but after Abou-Gardda fell asleep Ibrahim made the complainant perform oral sex on him.

The two men argued after Abou-Gardda woke up and he slapped the woman across the face.

The court heard that the complainant managed to make a 999 call, but Ibrahim went to rape her in the bedroom despite her saying no and crying.

“Mr Abou-Gardda came into the bedroom and said that he wanted to go next.”

But the complainant said she needed another “smoke” and used it as a pretext to get out of the flat where she told a man she had been raped.

When police arrived in the area the pair were both arrested.

Judge Ahmed Nadim jailed Ibrahim for 13 years after he had been convicted by a jury on charges of rape, false imprisonment, intentional strangulation and sexual assault.

Abou-Gardda was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison after he admitted false imprisonment, sexual assault, and common assault part-way through a previous trial.

The judge said the victim, who must not be identified, had suffered an ordeal lasting about four hours and he told the two defendants: “Each of you must understand that in a civilised society everyone has the right to decide whether sexual conduct is engaged in or not.

“This is true no matter who they are and whether they have engaged in sexual conduct previously or not. You took away that right of (the complainant) and imposed yourselves upon her in a violent and callous way.

“On the evidence I conclude that by false pretences each of you persuaded her to visit the flat assuring her that sexual conduct was not your interest.

“In reality it was your joint intention to engage in sexual conduct with her whether she agreed to or not.”

The judge said the complainant had been subjected to violence, supplied with drugs and her freedom to leave had been restricted.

“In conducting yourselves as you did neither of you cared about the damage you were doing to your victim,” he added.

“Your priority was to satisfy your lust.”

Ibrahim will have to register as a sex offender with the police for the rest of his life and Abou-Gardda will be on the sex offender register for the next seven years.

Detective Inspector Richard Fox of Bradford Adult Safeguarding Team said: “We welcome the sentence handed down to both men today, they lured the victim to a house and took advantage by raping and sexually assaulting her.

“They are dangerous men who deserve to be behind bars for a very long time.

“I would like to acknowledge the victim’s bravery throughout the investigation and trial. I hope today’s sentence can bring her some closure and justice in what was a harrowing ordeal.

“I hope this sentence provides a reminder to victims that we take all reports of sexual assault seriously and in confidence.

“We have a specialist team of dedicated officers who will support you throughout the investigation. If anyone has been a victim of sexual assault, please report it.”

A sex offender described as a “danger to young children” has been jailed for over 18 years for sexually attacking a young girl.

David Gray, 50, from Batley was was sentenced to 18 years and eight months at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday (August 29) after admitting two serious sexual assaults against a young girl.

They were reported to police in January of this year, prompting an investigation by dedicated Kirklees child safeguarding detectives. Gray was swiftly arrested following the report and then charged.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at a hearing at Leeds Crown Court in June and was remanded in custody for sentencing. Investigating officer Detective Constable Natalie Green, of the Kirklees District Child Safeguarding Unit, said: “Gray clearly poses a significant danger to young children, and we welcome the strong sentence handed down by the court.

“The appalling offences he committed against a young victim has affected her deeply, and starkly illustrates the dreadful impact these crimes have on victims. I would personally like to thank the victim and her family for their courage and strength during the investigation and for coming forward and speaking of the crimes committed by Gray.

“We continue to urge victims of sexual assault to come forward, no matter when the offending took place. All reports will be thoroughly investigated by our specially trained officers who will also provide you with support throughout.”

A former teaching assistant from Swindon has been sentenced at Gloucester Crown Court today - 21 June - after being found guilty of the rape of a minor.

Sam Powers, 28, had earlier pleaded guilty to an additional 44 counts of sexual offences against children.

He was given a 20-year custodial sentence, four years of which will be served on licence.

In addition, Powers was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for a minimum of 25 years.

A CREEP from Great Sankey who sexually assaulted a woman in her sleep claimed it was an accident has been jailed.

Lewis Williams, of Reaper Close, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court after pleading guilty to sexual assault and sending threatening messages.

Prosecuting, Dave Watson told the court that the victim, who cannot be named or identified by law, woke up to Williams sexually assaulting her.

The 25-year-old defendant was confronted by the complainant and ‘jumped up in shock’.

Williams accepted what had happened, the court heard, but after the offence, he began to send texts and voice notes to her.

One voice message saw him refer to the victim as a ‘little b***h’.

Despite previously admitting to the assault, the court heard that Williams went on to deny the offence by saying that he had been asleep and that she must have ‘pushed against him’.

The victim contacted Cheshire Police, and Williams was arrested.

In his police interview, the court heard that Williams continued to deny the offence and claim it had happened in his sleep.

An impact statement was read out to the court in which the victim told the court that the assault has had an impact on her mental health.

“He was making me out to be a liar and said it was an accident, when it was not,” she said.

Williams, who appeared in court late as he was in a Wetherspoon pub, was sentenced by judge Andrew Murray to 27 months immediate imprisonment.

A restraining order has been put in place for five years, and Williams was ordered to sign the sex offender register for ten years.

A man from Surrey Quays, who sexually assaulted a young girl, has been jailed for four years and six months.

Ahmed Deq Mohamed, 20, who has a previous conviction for sexually assaulting a child under thirteen, violated another victim on June 16, 2023.

Police arrested and charged him just five days later, with forensic evidence and the victim’s “compelling video account” helping to convict him.

Detective Constable Oliver Colville, who led the investigation, said: “I would like to praise the victim for initially coming forward to police, and for reporting this repulsive behaviour from Mohamed. 

“The compelling video account provided by her assisted with the forensic evidence that we had, making it enough to convict Mohamed.”

Mohamed has been sentenced to four years and six months in jail with twelve months on license after he appeared at Inner London Crown Court on May 22. 

He was previously found guilty of sexually assaulting a child under thirteen by penetration, following a trial at the same court.

He will now also be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

A MAN has been jailed after having sex with a young girl, having lied to her about his age.

Luke Gillard, of Cornist Lane in Flint, appeared for sentence at Mold Crown Court on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old, who appeared via video from HMP Berwyn, had previously admitted two offences of penetrative sexual activity with a child and one of sexual activity with a child.

Anna Price, prosecuting, told the court Gillard's offending involved him having sex with, and sexually touching, a young girl - having known her age and lied about his own to make himself appear younger than he was.

When interviewed by the police, the defendant relied on a prepared statement in which he denied any sexual contact with the girl and stating he had autism and ADHD.

But he went on to admit the offences at his plea and trial preparation hearing.

In a statement read to the court, the victim said the offences had a big impact on her emotions and quality of life.

"Sometimes I'd blame myself for what happened," she said.

"It would keep me up at night."

Ryan Rothwell, defending, asked the court to give his client appropriate reductions in the sentence bearing in mind his relative youth.

He added: "Clearly, not only does he have psychiatric issues which are labelled, he lacks a significant amount of maturity.

"There are well-founded suspicions of autism and a diagnosis of ADHD."

He said there were concerns about his client's ability to cope in a custodial setting, adding: "It seems the pre-sentence report alludes to potential issues in that respect.

"He's already received abuse in the prison.

"There has been a delay in bringing this matter to court and he had no convictions prior to these offences.

"He has written a letter in which he tried to express an acknowledgement of how [the victim] must feel and elaborates how sorry he is."

Judge Niclas Parry told the defendant: "You understand you're to be sentenced for extremely serious matters.

"It's a significant disparity in age - and you lied about your age, which underlines the fact you knew exactly what you were doing."

Judge Parry told the court that based on expert psychiatric reports, he did not feel the defendant's psychiatric issues had influenced his understanding of the illegality of his behaviour, and would have had a limited bearing on his decision-making.

As such, the Judge handed down an overall sentence of 27 months to be served immediately, in a young offenders' institute.

A restraining order and sexual harm prevention order were imposed for 10 years.

And Gillard was made subject to the notification requirements as a sex offender for the same period of time.

Judge Parry turned to the public gallery at the end, where the victim and her family were present, and stated: "Thank you for the dignity you have shown."

A man who sexually abused a young girl and used social media to sexually exploit another child has been jailed.

Lewis Green, aged 22, was first reported to police in August 2022, after a seven-year-old girl told her mother that from March of that year he had repeatedly sexually assaulted her.

Northamptonshire Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Unit (CAIU) began an investigation into Green’s behaviour and he was later charged with two counts of sexual assault of a girl under 13 by touching and two counts of being an adult engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13.

He was awaiting trial on these matters when, in February this year, the Force received another report about him after a parent who knew Green found more than 200 messages from him on their nine-year-old child’s Facebook Messenger account.

The two investigations were brought together, and Green went on to be further charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child and causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity - no penetration.

Green, of Staverton Road, Daventry, admitted all the charges at a crown court hearing on March 6, having also admitted one count of breach of bail conditions before magistrates on February 21, in relation to the 2022 investigation.

He was remanded in custody ahead of sentencing which took place at Northampton Crown Court on August 9.

There, Green was sentenced to a total of 27 months’ imprisonment and placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

He was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order which bans him from living with, contacting or communicating with any females under the age of 16, and from using any internet-enabled device without notifying his offender management team and complying with strict inspection and usage rules.

Speaking afterwards, CAIU’s joint investigators Detective Constable Emily Faulkner and Detective Constable James Wright, said: “Lewis Green is a serial offender with a history of sexual abuse against young people.

“He knew the ages of the children he abused yet continued to groom and coerce them into sexual activity to satisfy his own desires.

“Green showed a complete lack of regard for the victims themselves and the bail conditions that he was meant to be adhering to which banned him from any contact with anyone under 18. This for us points towards someone who simply doesn’t care about anyone other than himself and, as noted by the judge, the sexual gratification that he was clearly gaining from his offending.

“Only when the evidence against him was overwhelming did Green enter guilty pleas to all counts. He has however only ever felt sorry for himself and nobody else and has shown little remorse.

“Both children were deeply affected by Green’s offending and the knock-on effect to their families and the breach of trust involved was very upsetting.

“We welcome Green’s custodial sentence, as hopefully this will give him time to reflect on what he has done to these poor children. He will be closely monitored by a specialist sex offender team when he is released, making it very hard for him to offend again, but for us, he will always remain a threat to children.

“As OICs, we would like to thank both families for the way they have dealt with matters, and for the support they have offered their children through what has been a very difficult time.

“Moreso the children, who from the beginning had the strength and bravery to talk about what Green did. This shows just how strong they are, and they should be commended for their bravery.

“Northamptonshire Police takes any form of abuse against children very seriously and we will always seek the strongest penalties against offenders.”

A convicted sex offender has been jailed again after breaching a court order by approaching children in a Maidstone library.

Russell Hogg ignored a raft of measures, which strictly prohibited his access to anyone under 16, and started conversations with groups of children in school uniform.

Hogg was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) in January 2018, after he was sentenced to prison for making and possessing child sex abuse images.

The order contained several restrictions designed to safeguard children, for when Hogg was granted parole. These included a ban on any unsupervised contact or communication with a child, as well as limitations around his use of the internet.

Approached and stared

On 24 April 2023, Hogg attended Maidstone Library, where a group of school children were sitting at a table and studying. He tried to engage them in conversation, stared at them for long periods and shouted towards the group as he was sat at a computer terminal.

Hogg revisited the library over the following weeks and on 12 May approached the same group of children. He asked ‘is this a social meet up or a study meet up?’ and loitered at their table.

Hogg, 64, of Middle Row, Maidstone was arrested on the same day and later charged with breaching a sexual harm prevention order.

Appearing before Maidstone Crown Court, he pleaded guilty and admitted further charges which included failing to comply with notification requirements and possessing and making indecent images of children.

On Tuesday 20 August, Judge Robert Lazarus sentenced Hogg to two years and 10 months’ imprisonment, describing him as ‘a committed paedophile’. 

Upon his release from custody, he will be subject to a revised SHPO with further restrictions.

A GREENOCK pervert who sent sexually explicit messages and pictures to so-called paedophile hunters who were posing as young girls online has been spared jail.

A sheriff told George Ahara that he had ‘only just’ decided to impose an alternative to custody for the ‘very concerning’ offences, to which the 52-year-old pleaded guilty earlier this year.

Ahara, who now lives in Newbury, Berkshire, pleaded guilty to three indictment charges and confessed to the crimes after he was snared by online child protection groups.

He admitted sending sexual communications and attempting to communicate indecently with adult decoys whom he believed to be children under the age of 13.

The offences were committed on two occasions in June 2022 at Ahara's then home on Westmorland Road.

Ahara also pleaded guilty to a similar charge concerning what he understood to be a child who had not yet reached the age of 16.

Greenock Sheriff Court heard previously that Ahara had been in contact with a user he knew as ‘Rosie’ online over a week in June 2022.

The profile was actually being run by an adult who was a member of an online child protection group.

Despite having been told in the course of the chat that 'Rosie' was 12 years old, Ahara continued to send sexually explicit messages.

The woman behind the account then went to Ahara’s former address in Larkfield with other members of the group and live-streamed the confrontation on social media.

When challenged, Ahara said: “I was thinking she was an adult.”

A prosecutor told the court: “He acknowledged that he should have stopped talking when he realised the girls were so young.

“Police attended and were informed of the circumstances.”

Ahara was later arrested and charged, making no reply to the allegation, and a search warrant was granted for his home.

A black mobile phone was seized from the property, with the device's number corresponding with that which was shared with 'Rosie' in the online chat.

Then, on June 6 and 7, 2022, Ahara contacted an online dating profile belonging to ‘Darcy’, which was being run by an adult member of another online child protection group.

The messages sent were ‘immediately explicit’, with 'Darcy' then stating that she was 12 years old.

Ahara continued sending sexual messages and encouraged 'Darcy' to send a selfie, to which she replied with a photoshopped image of a female aged around 12.

The court heard that Ahara later sent a sexually explicit image ‘without warning or prompting’.

On June 18, 2022, the woman running the 'Darcy' account was on Facebook when she saw that another group had attended Ahara’s home.

She subsequently contacted police and provided screenshots of her conversation with him.

Ahara also admitted being in contact with a third profile belonging to someone he believed to be a 14-year-old girl.

The account had been created by a member of a child protection group who went by the name of 'Freya'.

During the conversation, 'Freya' stated her age, to which Ahara replied: “Oh my god, I’m so sorry. I thought you were a woman.”

The court heard that he continued to be sexually explicit, despite her age having been disclosed to him.

After his arrest, Ahara provided a ‘no comment’ police interview in the presence of his solicitor.

Sheriff James Varney, who previously described Ahara’s behaviour as ‘appalling’ and ‘shameful’, told the first offender last week: “The nature of the communications was very concerning to listen to.

“The bottom line was that you ought never to have communicated with people you thought to be underage.”

Ahara will be supervised by criminal justice social workers for three years, and must complete 200 hours of unpaid work within 12 months as a direct alternative to custody.

He was put on the sex offenders register for three years.

A Gosport man who filmed himself raping a woman as she slept has been jailed for two decades.

Louis Charles Cann, 38, raped two women multiple times in a ten-month period in Portsmouth and Gosport, police said.

Salisbury Crown Court heard that the women were manipulated by Cann, threatened with violence and verbally abused, and one of the women was physically assaulted by Cann when she said no to having sex with him.

Passing sentence on Thursday, Judge Adam Feest KC remarked on the humiliation, degradation, blackmail and manipulation used by Cann, in order to rape these women, with the judge noting that one of the women was treated like a rag doll.

He said: Neither I nor anyone listening to this case can properly understand the long-lasting trauma, distress, and fear that your actions have caused.

Cann, of Rampart Row, was charged with nine counts of rape following an investigation by Operation Amberstone Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabularys specialist rape and serious sexual offence investigation team.

He denied the charges - but was found guilty of all the offences on Wednesday, June 5 by a jury.

Detective Sergeant Samantha Brown, from the Operation Amberstone Team, said: The level of sexual violence and abuse that these women have suffered at the hands of this awful man is truly shocking.

These women were degraded, manipulated and assaulted in the most appalling way.

Nonetheless, they have shown incredible courage in standing up to this cowardly individual, and because of their strength and bravery Cann will now spend a lengthy period of time in jail.

She added: We want anyone who has been affected by rape or sexual abuse to have the confidence to report this. You will be believed, and we will do everything in our power to bring offenders to justice.

Cann was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with an additional extended five-year licence period.

He was also handed a lifelong Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for life.

A 36 year old mum has been jailed for four years after she had a threesome with two 13 year old boys in her son's bedroom while he was at school.

Extremely promiscuous Natalie Harris, of Waterlooville, started sending sexual messages to one of the schoolboys on Snapchat before inviting them both to her address. In a total disregard of any moral compass, the mother of six developed an obsession for sex with young boys and wanted attention after a break-up, Portsmouth Crown Court heard.

Despite begging the boys to keep it a secret, she was arrested after a video of the threesome filmed by one of the boys was circulated around their school. Harris wept in the dock on Thursday (August 15) as she was jailed for four years, having admitted four counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

A mother of one of the 13 year old boys said Harris had taken away his childhood. Prosecutor Matthew Lawson said both boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were 13 at the time of the incident which took place in Waterlooville in November 2022.

"The case came to light in January of last year," he told Portsmouth Crown Court. There was a video that had been circulating around the school both boys attended. The police got a call from a concerned parent which showed an adult female engaging in sexual activity with a boy."

The court heard the two boys initially denied involvement, before one of them eventually told their mother. Mr Lawson said Harris was identified as the woman in the video via distinctive hand tattoos. Her mobile phone was seized by police and a thread of messages between her and one of the boys - who she had saved in her contacts as Rachel.

It was heard she told him he shouldn't tell anyone as she could go to prison and to stick up for him if anything was said about her. Telling the court how the boy came forward to tell his mum he had been the one who took the video, Mr Lawson said: "He said in November 2022, around the time of the World Cup, the defendant had started to message him on Snapchat and by text. He said the messages became sexual and invited both boys to go to her house. It was clear to both boys they were going there for sex."

The court heard when they arrived at the address, Harris took them to her son's bedroom, where they had sex for roughly 40 minutes and left before her own boy was due to return from school. She was arrested and initially claimed 'no knowledge' of who the woman was in the video. In a victim impact statement read to the court, the mother of the boy who came forward, said she had seen her son fade away as a result of the awful nightmare.

She added her poor boy has lost interest in several hobbies and now stays indoors as a result. "My heart just breaks, I couldn't have imagined this happening to my son - he is a child," she said. "Natalie has completely turned our family upside down. The worst thing about all of this is she has taken away his childhood and I will never forgive her. [He] will never get back the childhood that has been taken from him. This will stay with us now for the rest of our lives."

Harris - who has since been diagnosed with bipolar and multiple personality disorder - was suffering from a 'manic episode' following her split, it was heard. In mitigation, Berenice Mulvanny said Harris was deeply remorseful and devastated about her behaviour. She said it had been triggered by a break-up with a partner. On Harris' split with her partner, Judge Sarah Munro KC said: "You reacted to his departure in a dramatic way. In your behaviour you became extremely promiscuous."

She said a dramatic change was noted in Harris' mood which included an obsession in you for sex with young boys. [The boy] described how you started to send him messages and invited him to your home," she said. You took them to your son's bedroom and engaged in sexual activity with both boys. They left because it was time for your son to come home from school.

On the boy who reported the incident, she said: "The impact upon [him] has been dreadful. He feels guilty about what happened. You have clearly turned that family upside down and taken [his] childhood away from him." Sentencing her, she said: "No sentence I can pass can give [him] his childhood back or undo the damage you have done to him."

The judge said the trigger for the 'manic episode' which resulted in erratic behaviour was her split with her partner. "You felt unloved and you began to act in a way to get attention," she added. In your desire for attention you gave no consideration on the long term detrimental impact on these young boys. There was significant planning and grooming behaviour used by you, a serious abuse of trust and a very significant disparity in age. She added there had been a 'total disregard of any moral compass' and jailed her for four years. Harris was also made the subject of a 10 year restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order of the same length.

Jail for man who made thousands of indecent images of children

A man who made thousands of indecent still and moving images of children has been locked up.

After he was arrested, Keah Gibbs told police he used images he had created and downloaded on social media in order to flush out people with a sexual interest in children.

Officers found more than 9,000 images on Gibbs computer. Of those, 1,733 were graded as category A - depicting the most severe kinds of abuse.

In addition, 2,474 category B and 5,085 category C images were discovered on his device.

Gibbs, aged 25, went on to plead guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children, between 27 December 2019 and 14 October 2020.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing 427 prohibited images of children and seven extreme pornographic images, between 27 December 2019 and 14 October 2020, and distributing 25 indecent photographs of children, between 17 July 2023 and 16 January 2024, including seven category A images.

Gibbs, formerly of Pelham Road, Sherwood, was jailed for three years when he appeared at Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on Friday (16 August).

He was also made subject of a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and must sign the Sex Offenders' Register indefinitely.
