A pervert found with sick images of kids claimed he'd been cured of his sexual interest in children.

Police found the vile photos on Jack Newton's mobile phone when they seized a number of electronic goods from his Throckley home.

A court heard that the 22-year-old had been sent the seven pictures, some involving children a young as five, in 2019 by an associate on Snap Chat.

When he was questioned about the sordid material, he told officers he "previously had a sexual interest in kids but no longer did".

Now, Newton, of Isabella Walk, in Throckley, is facing a possible jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to two counts of making an indecent image of a child.

Lillian Yanes Hellevik, prosecuting at Newcastle Magistrates' Court, said officers searched Newton's home on July 13 2020 and seized a number of devices.

She added: "The images found were on his mobile phone. There were seven category B and two category C.

"Samples of those images contained children between five and 11-years-old. The defendant accepted in interview to receiving the images.

"He accepted he may previously have had a sexual interest in children but stated he no longer does."

The court heard that Newton had no previous convictions and pleaded guilty on the basis he was sent the images without asking specifically for them.

Sophie Allinson, defending, said: "I submit these matters are suitable to be finalised here but I appreciate an all-options report will be needed.

"I will save my mitigation for the future sentencing hearing."

Newton was released on unconditional bail to next appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on April 11.

A Cambridgeshire paedophile who arranged to meet a teenager was caught out after she was revealed to be an adult. John Brewster messaged his intended victim, who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl, on Facebook and WhatsApp.

He sent messages between July 11 and 15 and arranged to meet her later the same week. However when he arrived at their meeting point at just before 4.30pm on July 18, the girl was revealed to be an adult who then called the police.

Officers attended and Brewster, 67, of Crown Close, St Ives, was arrested. In his police interview he replied no comment to all questions.

He stood trial at Cambridge Crown Court from Tuesday, March 15. A jury took less than three hours to find him guilty of engaging in sexual communication with a child and inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in penetrative sexual activity.

Brewster was jailed for three years and four months at the same court on Thursday (March 17). He was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), to monitor any future offending, and placed on the Sex Offenders Register, both indefinitely.

Detective Sergeant George Neal, from the forces Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT), said: Brewsters behaviour was shocking and inappropriate; using the internet in this way will not be tolerated. Phones and social media mean children can be vulnerable to those who prey on their innocence and exploit their trust.

An Eastbourne cleaner, who was found by officers to have repeatedly accessed images of child abuse despite a previous conviction, is now starting a 15-month prison sentence, said police.

Police said Ludovit Gerhat, 34, of Blackwater Road, was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on March 4, having pleaded guilty to breaching his registered sex offender requirements.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said, He will now also remain a registered sex offender for a further ten years and will continue to be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), severely restricting his access to digital communications devices and to children for the same further period.

Gerhat had been convicted in August 2021 of possessing indecent images of children and had been given an eight-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months.

As part of his registration requirements Gerhat had to make any digital communication devices accessible to police via monitoring software, and later that year officers detected attempts to wipe material from his devices, according to police.

Officers said on inspection they found he had accessed more than 200 videos and 100 other indecent images of children from the internet, including some in the most serious categories.

PC Louise Blacker, of the East Sussex team responsible for monitoring registered sex offenders in the community, said, Gerhat clearly felt he could get away with this, but did not realise that we can effectively monitor him and help ensure communities are protected.

A sex offender has been locked up after using Facebook to share "extreme" indecent images of children.

Richard Baker was jailed on Thursday, March 10, for 28 months after pleading guilty to seven charges. All of his offences were connected to distressing pictures of kids.

Wiltshire Police's Child Internet Exploitation Team went to Baker's address in September 29, 2020 after receiving a tip off that the 66-year-old, of no fixed address in Bratton, Westbury, had been uploading photos to the internet. He was arrested and his home was searched.

Indecent images were discovered on two mobile phones - they were classed as 'category A', meaning they were of the most serious type. Officers described them as among the "most extreme" images shared by sex offenders online.

Det Con Sadie McCoy said: This investigation began when we received information that Baker had been using his personal Facebook account to distribute indecent images of children. We then seized multiple devices to fully understand the scale of the offending and as part of our enquiries we found some of the most extreme type of indecent images of children.

"Baker admitted to not only possessing extreme pornographic images and making indecent images, but also distributing these indecent images. The Child Internet Exploitation Team at Wiltshire Police is dedicated to identifying offenders like Baker and ensuring they are brought to justice.

"Every child pictured in the images he accessed and distributed will be a victim of real abuse and needs protecting and safeguarding. We will continue to put these victims at the heart of what we do.

As well as his prison sentence, Baker was also issued with a 10 year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and ordered to pay a 181 victim surcharge. To report child sex abuse to Wiltshire Police, call 101. A "depraved" paedophile downloaded disturbing images of babies being abused just three weeks after signing the sex offender register.

Andrew Smith was jailed for three years after a court heard how continued to access sickening images from his home in Leeds despite twice being arrested and warned about his behaviour as he awaited sentence.

Leeds Crown Court heard Smith sent illegal child images to a paedophile in the Philippines.

The 36-year-old also engaged in online conversations with other offenders describing how he was going to gain qualifications to allow him to work with children.

Jeremy Barton, prosecuting, said police officers first went to Smith's home in May 2019 after receiving information that three Tumblr accounts linked to the defendant had been used to access illegal child images.

While waiting for the results of an investigation into the accounts police received further information about illegal activity on an social media account linked to Smith.

Officers returned to his home in June 2020 and seized electronic devices.

An investigation revealed he had accessed illegal images of children.

He had also made internet search terms including: "I am attracted to children."

The was evidence that he had accessed the dark web and engaged in online conversations with other paedophiles dating back to 2011.

Smith was interviewed and accepted that the devices were his and that he was responsible for the images recovered but refused to comment further.

Smith was placed on the sex offender on October 8 last year and ordered to abide by a number of requirements while awaiting sentence.

On October 24 two public protection officers went to his home to check that he was complying with the orders.

Smith was asked to hand over his mobile phone.

The device contained images of very young children in a state of undress.

Smith then the told officers about another mobile device in his bedroom and gave them the password for it.

The device contained over 1,500 illegal images.

A total of 175 still and moving images were at category A - the most serious level of offending.

They included sadistic images of babies who were in distress.

There was also evidence that he had sent images to someone in the Philippines.

Smith, of Stone Brig Green, Rothwell, pleaded guilty to nine counts of making indecent images of children, possession of a prohibited image of a child, possessing prohibited images, possessing an extreme pronographic image and distributing indecent images of children.

Graham Parkin, mitigating, said Smith's offending developed as a result of him being bullied and isolated from the age of 13.

He said: "He has had a long-term addiction to this sort of imagery. It became an obsession."

Mr Parkin said Smith had tried to access support to address his offending during the pandemic but it could only be done remotely and he was unable to access one-to-one help.

Sentencing, Judge Robin Mairs told Smith the images he had downloaded were "of the most grave and damaging kind."

He said: "You had conversations with other paedophiles. You used the dark web to search material.

"There wasn't contact with children but you admitted that you were studying to qualify to work with children

"The reasonable fear must be that you were taking steps to take viewing offences into actual contact offences."

Describing the images accessed by Smith, Judge Mairs said: "It is clear from some of the images that the children were in distress.

"Their fear and pain is evident.

"These are not victimless offences.

"Behind these images there are real children.

"Real children who suffer abuse, who suffer pain, and the reason that happens is to satisfy the depraved demands of people like you."

George Henderson, 63, appeared for sentence at Inverness Sheriff Court after admitting sexually communicating and sending indecent images to who he thought were young teenage girls in Scotland and England.

A SERIAL sex offender with a perverse sense of entitlement left a vulnerable woman feeling disgusting and awful after he raped and sexually assaulted her.

Mustafa Naro Ali exploited the sex worker after seeing her in his street, approaching her and arranging to have sex with her for 20.

But when they got inside, Ali treated her like a ragdoll, trying to rip her clothes off and was so aggressive she began to cry.

It left her with internal injuries and the 30-year-old was described as having little if no regard for the victims of his crimes referring to her as just a sex worker in a pre-sentence report.

He was jailed for 10 years at Portsmouth Crown Court on Friday (March 18), with Recorder Simon Foster labelling him dangerous.

Ali, now of no fixed abode but previously of East Street, had been convicted of one count of rape and one count of sexual assault in a trial at Swindon Crown Court last year.

Prosecutor Rob Welling said the victim, an alcoholic and heroin user, was near Alis address collecting a debt in April 2021 when he approached her. The defendant very quickly established in his own mind she was a sex worker, and arranged to have sex for 20, he told the court.

They went back to his flat, and once they were alone, almost immediately he tried to rip her clothes off, treating her like a rag doll.

Mr Welling continued: [He] treated her so aggressively that she protested and cried, but he didnt care. She said she was crying throughout and when the defendant eventually left, he left the flat telling her he was going to get some more alcohol.

He said that the defendant knew from her appearance she was a drug user and exploited [her] as a result].

His attitude was he paid for it, he was going to have it, regardless. That is borne out by his attitudes with the author of the pre-sentence report.

The court was also told about Alis previous crimes. Among the list of his sexual offences include licking his lips and asking a group of 13-year-old girls if they wanted to come back to his flat to smoke drugs, masturbating on a bench in public and pressing himself against two women shopping in Boots.

This was a defendant that could not contain his sexual urges and had little if no regard for the victims of his crimes, Mr Welling concluded.

In a victim impact statement, the victim said: What happened to me made me feel disgusting and awful, I was scared to report what happened because I am ashamed of what I am.

My life is a mess and I sex work on the street. I didnt think the police would believe me and I thought Id be laughed out of court.

My experience was very different. On the date I found out the verdict I felt I had some worth as a human being.

The outcome of my case has helped me to remind myself that I have to be positive and work towards recovery.

Sentencing Ali, Recorder Foster said that Alis aggressive behaviour led to the victim withdrawing consent for sex.

The ongoing effects of what you did to her are only too evident, he continued. As I have said she was plainly a person in a vulnerable state.

Your antecedence revealed in my judgement a troubling past. The author of the report has come to the conclusion that you are a very high risk of serious harm to the public, that harm being of sexual abuse and sexual violence.

Your attitude to this offence bears that out. In interview you denied, as you did at trial, there being any penetration. You claimed consent, and your attitude which was made plain in the course of the preparation of the report, illustrated what you went on to say, that she is just a sex worker.

You acted out a perverse sense of entitlement, and attitudes like that are abhorrent to all right-thinking members of the public.

Ali was jailed for eight-and-a-half years for rape, and three years for sexual assault, which will be served concurrently.

However, Recorder Foster also sentenced the defendant for a separate assault, where in 2020 he hit a prison officer with a mop and bit an officer on the shoulder at HMP Bullingdon. The attack has seen the officer look for another job.

He was given another one year and six months for assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker which he admitted and will serve the sentences consecutively.

It resulted in a total jail sentence of 10 years. On release, Ali will be subject to an extended licence period of four years and a sexual harm prevention order.

A pervert who uploaded an indecent image of a child onto Facebook Messenger has avoided prison.

When police raided Paul Foxton's home, the 60-year-old was caught with over 300 illegal images of children being sexually abused.

Teesside Crown Court has heard that Foxton's social media account was referred to Cleveland Police in January of last year; officers then turned up at Foxton's Thornaby address a few weeks later, in March.

Police found 27 category A images - the most serious cases of children being sexually abused; 32 category B images and 251 category C images and videos on Foxton's Samsung phone and two tablets.

The defendant, of Elden Walk in Thornaby, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children at an earlier hearing.

Prosecutor Ellen Wright told the court that some of the pictures showed very young children being sexually abused - including one child who was in a high chair. The videos showed children in "obvious pain and distress".

Forensic officers also uncovered a systematic search history for the most serious images showing children being sexually abused, as well as for familial sexual abuse. The court heard that when Foxton was interviewed by police, he said he didn't "much like" the illegal material, and that he was just curious.

John Wood, defending, said that Foxton had eventually accepted that he had "an element of sexual interest" in the illegal content. Mr Wood said that his client has a brain injury which has left his lonely and depressed. He has separated from his wife and lockdown left him even more isolated.

Foxton's son sat with his head in his hands listening to the court hearing in the public gallery.

Judge Christopher Smith told Foxton "At the end of the camera there is a child being sexually abused - which can have a life-changing effect on them. After no doubt some probing by the probation officer, you were able to admit you have a sexual interest in prepubescent children.

"This offending is serious but in your case I'm entirely satisfied that this indicates a good chance of rehabilitation".

The judge handed Foxton a 10-month prison sentence, suspended for 18-months. Foxton was ordered to attend 40 rehabilitation days; he was placed under curfew from 8pm-7am, which will be monitored by an electronic tag.

Foxton will sign the sex offenders' register for 10-years and was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order - so that police can monitor his online usage.

A predator has today been found guilty of raping a stranger in Hull last year.

Tamer Eren (42) of Southcoates Lane, Hull, was today (Monday 21 March) found guilty of the rape of a woman, despite pleading not guilty at the trial at Hull Crown Court.

The court heard how predator Eren approached his victim on Drypool Bridge on Sunday 19 September 2021, before attacking her in a secluded area and raping her.

Detective Constable Lisa Grantham, of our Protecting Vulnerable People unit, said: Firstly, I would like to commend the bravery and courage of Tamer Erens victim in coming forward and talking about their experience.

This was a shocking incident that caused a lot of concern in the wider community, and we are pleased that this dangerous man will now spend a significant amount of time behind bars.

Not only did he commit heinous crime, but he also refused to admit his guilt instead putting his victim through the torment of the trial process.

I would like to provide reassurance to anyone who may have suffered a sexual abuse, if you come to us we will listen to and support you and act against those responsible.

We work in partnership with local authorities and a number of local charities and agencies to ensure victims of this type of crime are offered advice and support whether they decide to pursue through the justice system or not.

A man who sexually abused a 13-year-old girl has been jailed for nine years.

Joshua Krogulski, 27, of Spruce Walk in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, has been jailed after he was found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child. Krogulski targeted the 13-year-old in 2018 when he was 24.

He denied the charges and claimed he did not know the true age of the girl. But that has been disputed by her family and Krogulski was found guilty by a jury of the three counts.

A representative for the girl's family said Krogulski laughed and fell asleep during the trial which was held at Bradford Crown Court. On Friday, he was jailed for a total of nine years and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for an indefinite period.

Krogulski was also made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

A monster who sexually abused children has been jailed.

William King was sentenced to six years behind bars at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday.

The paedophile abused two girls and a boy during the eighties and early noughties in Edinburgh and Fife.

King, 57, was arrested and charged in 2020 before being found guilty last month of various sexual assaults against his young victims.

Officers from the Capitals Public Protection Unit launched an investigation after a number of survivors came forward.

Police hailed King's victims for their 'great courage' and stressed that 'all reports of sexual assault' will be investigated 'regardless of the passage of time'.

Detective Inspector Jonny Wright said: The survivors of Kings horrific sexual abuse have shown great courage in coming forward with vital information, which ultimately led to his conviction.

His actions were appalling and he will now face justice for the offences he committed.

All reports of sexual assault, regardless of the passage of time, will be thoroughly investigated by Police Scotland and victims will be supported throughout.

Jonathon Blacklock sprayed offensive graffiti about the victim around a Northumberland village, sent her abusive messages, left nasty notes at her home, slashed her car tyres and dumped rubbish on her drive

A jealous ex intent on causing maximum humiliation to his former partner embarked on a sinister stalking campaign, which involved showing sexual images to her boss and boyfriend.

Jonathon Blacklock had a brief relationship with the victim in 2020 and took exception when it ended.

So much so, the obsessed 50-year-old set out on an "appalling sequence of actions to inflict harm and humiliation" upon the woman, Newcastle Crown Court was told.

Over a two-month period, Blacklock sprayed offensive graffiti about her around a Northumberland village, sent abusive texts, left nasty notes at her home, slashed her tyres and dumped rubbish at the end of her drive.

He also showed intimate sexual photos of her to her boss and partner, prosecutors said.

During the course of the stalking, Blacklock mindlessly slashed the tyres of 10 other vehicles, whose owner's had nothing to do with him or his ex.

His actions left the victim feeling suicidal and contemplating leaving her job and moving house, the court heard.

Blacklock, of Rimside View, in Longframlington, Northumberland, has now been spared jail after he pleaded guilty to stalking, two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and 12 counts of criminal damage.

Giving him a 14-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, Judge Edward Bindloss said: "You undertook an appalling sequence of actions, which inflicted harm and humiliation upon her - stalking, disclosing sexual images and criminal damage to her vehicle.

"In addition, on January 22, you went on a mindless spree of criminal damage against 10 other cars by putting a knife into the car tyres and creating 10 victims, who had nothing to do with anything."

The judge added: "The stalking was over two months, although you resurrected it for a weekend. You sprayed graffiti calling her a s**t and a s**g. You sent abusive texts, left notes in her garden, left underwear at her partner's address."

The court heard that Blacklock and the victim broke up in September 2020 and his stalking campaign started soon after.

He began by spraying the abusive graffiti around Longframlington and close to the woman's home before approaching her partner at a garden centre and showing him a sexual photo of her.

He also showed the same picture to her boss.

In the weeks that followed, the victim received a number of voicemails from Blacklock calling her a "f****g slag" and abusive texts.

Omar Ahmed, prosecuting, said, in November 2020, the woman was told by her neighbour that she'd seen a man scattering multiple pieces of paper around her garden.

Mr Ahmed continued: "When the complainant looked at what she'd been given by the neighbour, she saw each piece of paper referred to her in abusive terms, either as a s**g or a w***e.

"That same day [her partner] found female underwear had been left at his front door."

The court heard that Blacklock then left notes on the new boyfriend's doorstep referencing sexual activity that had taken place between him and the victim.

Blacklock then went on to dump rubbish at the end of the woman's driveway and left a brick with "trash for trash" written on it, Mr Ahmed said.

He'd also slashed the tyres of her car and put grass up its exhaust.

Blacklock's behaviour stopped for a while until January 2021 when he caused 337.75-worth of damage to the victim's partner's van.

Mr Ahmed added: "Not satisfied with just the damage caused to his van, he went on to attack nine other cars in the surrounding streets. Each of the vehicles had one or two tyres punctured with a sharp instrument. The total cost across all the victims was 750."

Blacklock was eventually arrested but claimed her hadn't harassed the woman and had acted out of a "desire to hurt her".

In a statement, she said she'd had suicidal thoughts, had changed her route to work and had contemplated leaving her job and moving house.

The court was told that Blacklock, who has eight offences on his record, was suffering from mental health issues at the time but had since sought help.

Richard Bloomfield, defending, said: "He's not been in any trouble since his arrest. Before his arrest, he was offending at a rapid pace. I think he can be rehabilitated, so the sentence can be suspended."

Blacklock was also made subject of a two-month curfew between 9pm and 6am and a restraining order, banning him from contacting the victim or her partner.

A SOMERSET man has been jailed for five years for raping a woman he met online.

Malcolm Compton, 60, from Keynsham, had earlier been found guilty of rape following a trial at Salisbury Crown Court on January 28.

The jury heard how Compton, of Carpenters Lane, initially met his victim on a dating website in September 2020.

They had been communicating online for about a week before agreeing to meet in person.

Comptons victim made it clear she was seeking companionship and that she just wanted to be friends.

But Compton ignored her wishes and tried to pressure her into sexual activity.

On Friday, September 11, Compton went on to rape her and his victim reported the offence to Wiltshire Police the following day.

Following the sentence, Detective Constable Jeremy Horner said: Compton completely disregarded the feelings of his victim and exercised controlling behaviour over her from the moment they met before going on to carry out this despicable crime.

I hope this sentence will bring some form of comfort to the survivor of Comptons abuse who showed real bravery in reporting this crime.

She displayed strength and dignity in the way she supported us in our investigation which eventually brought Compton to justice.

Rapist, 37, who kidnapped a 17-year-old girl as she waited for her parents before driving ten miles to assault her is facing jail

A monster kidnapped a 17-year-old girl who was waiting for her parents to pick her up after a night out, before driving her 10 miles and raping her.

Mohammed Atif Khan snatched the teen as she stood in Hemel Hempstead town centre on Saturday August 28, last year.

CCTV cameras showed the 37-year-old reversing back and parking up after driving past the teen in the Hertfordshire town.

Khan, from Chesham, Buckinghamshire, then forced the victim into his car.

He drove her ten miles away from her waiting spot before sexually assaulting and raping her.

The rapist then drove his traumatised victim back to Hemel Hempstead and where she was left to make her way back to the town centre before her family found her.

The victim - who cannot be named for legal reasons - bravely told her family what had happened and they called the police.

Last Thursday, March 17, Khan was convicted at Luton Crown Court of four offences, including kidnap with intent to commit a sexual offence, rape, oral rape and sexual assault by penetration.

Police have hailed the 'incredible courage' of the teen for coming forward and giving evidence.

An intense investigation was launched following the offences, in which detectives trawled hours of Automatic Number Plate Recognition and CCTV footage.

They were able to ascertain the movements of the vehicle Khan used and identified a white Volkswagen Polo of interest.

In 2018, Khan set up a car renting and leasing company - named Stallion Supercars - but it went bust just over a year later.

The white Polo was registered to Khan at an address in Chesham and was forensically recovered by Thames Valley Police.

He was arrested four days after committing the crimes.

Khan was later charged but pleaded not guilty, meaning his victim was forced to give evidence in court.

The rapist was found guilty by a jury last week, and has been remanded back into custody ahead of a sentencing hearing at the same court on May 13.

Det Insp Justine Jenkins said: 'News of this stranger attack caused understandable and considerable concern in the community at the time.

'So, I am pleased to share that we have managed to secure a conviction on behalf of the victim.

'She has shown incredible courage throughout the whole investigation and court case.

'Especially after Khan's refusal to admit what he had done meant she had to endure the trauma of giving evidence.

'She has been supported by specially trained officers throughout and has also received additional help from partner organisations.

'Khan has shown himself to be a dangerous sexual predator who, when he saw the victim alone, decided to unashamedly exploit the situation for his own sickening gain.

'He is now behind bars as we await the outcome of his sentencing next month.'
