A predator who set up a bogus market research business for high street fashion companies to sexually assault seven female models has been jailed.

Connor Morris, 26, created the company with fake employees and even hired premises at great financial expense to carry out the elaborate and disgusting scam.

He lured his victims to the hired work space by advertising on Facebook and Snapchat for models aged 18-30.

He paid them £150 each to take part in 'data research' he said was to improve sizing for companies like Asos, Pretty Little Things, Boohoo, Oh Polly and Love Honey.

His victims could earn an extra £50 if they agreed to a 'muscle analysis' which required them to strip and let him measure their bodies.

It was an 'elaborate confidence trick' just so he could grope their breasts and touch their bottoms.

Morris, who worked as a leisure centre lifeguard, also set up hidden cameras in the Branksome Consulting Centre in Poole, Dorset, to film the women in a state of undress.

Two of the victims came out of the meeting and agreed the experience had been 'really weird' and decided to go to the police.

Devices were seized from Morris' home and 32 images of young women taken without their knowledge were found.

Police tracked down seven different victims who had been 'violated' by Morris.

He initially denied taking any sexual gratification out of the process and told police he had planned to contact the companies and see if they wanted to purchase the data he had obtained.

He eventually admitted nine charges of sexual assault and three counts of voyeurism between June and July 2020.

He was jailed for three-and-a-half years at Bournemouth Crown Court, a sentence described as 'absolutely disgusting' by one of his victims.

Charles Gabb, prosecuting, said Morris told the owners of the business centre that he needed space for legitimate purposes, namely lifeguard refresher training.

He said emails were sent to his potential victims from a fictitious Sophie Parnell representing Connor Morris Group Ltd.

Mr Gabb said: "The defendant used pseudonyms, creating a fake business with fake members of staff and said he was working in partnership with companies like Asos, Pretty Little Things, Boohoo, Oh Polly and Love Honey.

"It was a truly elaborate set up of deception. He said he was carrying out research and offering them money to have various body measurements taken.

"He also asked if they would agree to be paid extra for him to apply pressure to various body parts for muscle analysis.

"Emails were sent from a Sophie Parnell at Connor Morris Group Ltd - she was fiction, she never existed. It was all done to give the air of credibility.

"He touched the breasts and/or bottoms, often skin-to-skin and observed them topless.

"These companies have all been contacted and it is all rubbish, quite simply nothing like that ever existed, the whole thing was a complete scam."

Speaking of one victim, Mr Gabb said: "She said she felt he had dragged the process out to keep her topless for longer. She felt uncomfortable throughout but trusted the defendant and thought of him as a close friend."

Reading from victim impact statements, the young women described feeling sick and disgusted, suffering trust issues and even PTSD, with some undergoing counselling.

One said: "It mortifies me to think the level of thought he has gone through to carry out this assault on me."

The court heard Morris, who was 22 at the time the offending started, had no previous convictions.

Lauren Hebditch, defending, said Morris, of West Street in Wareham, led a 'fairly isolated life', only had a small circle of friends, had been bullied at school and had only ever had one relationship.

She said he has been diagnosed as autistic and had taken a number of steps independently to address his offending including sessions with a specialist sexual psychotherapist.

She said: "He wholeheartedly accepts his action, he expresses regret, remorse and shame for all his actions. He said he caused a ripple of harm that spread across many different individuals."

Judge Jonathan Fuller said: "The victims' personal statements all talk of violation, disgust and being exposed.

"They all speak of a betrayal of trust that has had a lasting impact on them.

"This was an elaborate and determined effort (from you) to seek gratification both through voyeurism and sexual assault, under the guise of a legitimate examination.

"The effect on any reasonable person was humiliation."

After the sentencing, one of the victims slammed the judges sentence which they said was 'too lenient'.

The victim said they would consider appealing the sentence so it could be made more severe.

She said: "Connor Morris groomed me and he betrayed my trust.

"He violated our bodies. He is vile.

"The sentence is absolutely disgusting and he will be out of jail in less than two years.

"What kind of message does that send about sexually assaulting multiple women?

"It almost says that it is ok to do it.

"To give such a light sentence with the number of victims shows that the justice system needs addressing.

"We (the victims) are going to appeal the sentence."

A SMILING sex offender who forced a young girl to jump on his genitals has been jailed.

Christopher Frapple manipulated the vulnerable child into performing sexual acts on himself over a period of up to five years.

The 49-year-old was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on February 23 for two counts of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of engaging in sexual activity in front of a child.

The abuse went undiscovered until February 9, 2023, when the girl told her father she did not like Frapple and revealed what had happened.

Prosecuting, Ellie Fargin, told the court that the girl confessed that the defendant kept asking her to kick him in the testicles and would show her his bits.

On another occasion, Frapple wrapped a piece of string around his penis and asked the girl to pull on it.

The girls father said in a statement to the court that she has been affected substantially, through stress, fear and anxiety.

He added that both he and his daughter are fearful of the dark and going out to places that were once safe.

Frapple has seven previous convictions for 14 offences, including two indecent exposures in 2010.

He exposed his genitals to a female walking her a dog in public and also put his hand on his penis in public and asked a female if it looked big.

Mitigating, Nick Robinson, said the defendant pleaded guilty to all offences, although not at the earliest opportunity.

He added that probation identified the need to rehabilitate Frapple in order to protect the public.

Judge Susan Evans KC said: You took [the child] to your flat with one thing in mind, to sexually abuse a nine year old child.

She added that the defendant has a clear sexual interest in children and poses a serious risk.

Frapple, of Gillingham, was handed a five year and ten month sentence.

He was given a ten-year restraining order, a 20 year sexual offences prevention order and will be on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

A man who sexually abused and raped two girls over a nine-year period has been jailed for 27 years. Andrew John Butler was found guilty of several charges of rape and sexual assault of two children under the age of 13 years old at a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

The offences occurred between 2010 and 2019 in the North Dorset area and involved two victims, who were subjected to repeated sexual abuse. Following information received and investigations by detectives, Butler was arrested on February 11, 2021.

Butler, aged 54 and of High Street in Farnham, was jailed for 27 years over seven offences of rape, two further charges of rape of a child under 13 and two counts of sexual activity assault of a child under 13 at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday (June 2).

Following his sentencing, Detective Constable Adam Taylor, of Dorset Police, said: I want to praise the victims in this case for the courage they have shown in coming forward and supporting our investigation as well as the strength they have shown throughout the court process. Andrew Butler subjected these girls to horrific sexual abuse and through their bravery in coming forward, he has now been held accountable for his actions and faces a significant period behind bars.

I hope this sends a message to all victims of sexual abuse that we will do all we can to investigate offences and ensure offenders are brought to justice, while we will also make sure victims are supported. I also want to thank our partners in the Crown Prosecution Service for their assistance in bringing this case.

A man has been sentenced to three years and three months’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to arranging the commission of a child sex offence when he appeared at Guildford Crown Court today (3 March 2023), following an investigation by Surrey Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team and the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit.

On 12 November 2020, Rupesh Seth, 36, of Filleul Road, Wareham, Dorset, a practising GP at the time, travelled from Dorset to Egham in order to meet an adult in order to sexually abuse the adult’s 10-year-old daughter.  Police attended and he was arrested on suspicion of attempting to arrange and facilitate the commission of a child sex offence.

His phones were seized and indecent images of children were found. He was further arrested and subsequently charged with three counts of making indecent images of children.

Seth pleaded guilty to all the charges when he appeared at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on 14 November 2020.

He was also suspended from practice following his arrest.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Andy Grimwood said: “This was a joint operation conducted with the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit and thankfully, during this investigation, there was never a real life victim and no children were ever in any danger. This is a really good example of the way we can work in collaboration to ensure that offenders are identified and dealt with.

“This led to us uncovering images on Seth’s phone which showed that he had an extremely active interest in indecent photos and videos of children. Obviously, this is of huge concern, particularly given his position of trust as a practising GP, and we ensured that we linked in with our partner healthcare agencies to ensure that any appropriate safeguarding measures could be put in place.

“I would also like to stress that the offence he was charged with did not involve any of his patients.

“Surrey Police is committed to fully investigating all offences of this nature and will always follow every line of enquiry to ensure that suspects are identified, located and brought to justice.”

Detective Inspector James Oxley, of the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU), said: “I am pleased that Rupesh Seth recognised his guilt and, as a result, was convicted of these offences. By working closely with Surrey Police and other police forces in the South East, our specialist officers are able to ensure offenders such as Seth are brought before the courts, keeping children safe from harm.”

Seth was also handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

A DEVASTATED mother told how her family’s life had been “completely wrecked” by a Christchurch paedophile who was jailed for eight years for sexually abusing her toddler son.

Giving a victim impact statement at Bournemouth Crown Court, the woman broke down while describing the toll taken by the “vile and disgusting behaviour" of Adam Weeks (25), of Moorcroft Avenue.

She said: “This is the most painful experience I have had as a mother. I feel I have failed my son.

“He was a predator preying on us to get to our son. The betrayal has devastated both me and my partner."

The mum, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said she had felt suicidal at times, adding: “I will never be the same person, Adam has stolen that from me.”

She went on: "His actions have completely wrecked us as a family and words will never really convey the impact of his actions.

"I cannot understand why he did this to us.

"Now I think he is a predator.

"I am terrified of what could have happened in time, what Adam may have gone on to do."

She added: "Although it has wrecked our life, my son is safe."

Weeks was serving a suspended sentence for possessing over 1,000 indecent images of children when he committed the abuse in June last year at an address in Bournemouth.

He was also subject to a sexual harm prevention order imposed a month earlier which banned him from having contact with a child or having photos of any children.

But prosecutor Charles Gabb KC said the defendant had lied to the parents of the toddler – known as Child A in court – telling them all the charges against him had been dropped.

During a meeting in July, however, a probation officer found indecent images of children on Weeks' phone, including a video of him abusing Child A.

He was arrested, and a search of his iPhone and iPad revealed more indecent images and videos.

Also found were videos of a nine-year-old American child whom Weeks had “groomed” online, manipulating him with payment into sending sexual videos.

Weeks later claimed to police that the boy – referred to as Child B – had been "blackmailing" him, something Mr Gabb called: “Utterly ludicrous.”

Weeks had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to two charges of sexual assault of a child under 13, four offences of taking indecent images of a child, six charges of making indecent photographs of a child, and two counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Defending Weeks, Guy Ladenburg said his client had been raped at the age of 10 in a school toilet, and later in life had been repeatedly abused by a boyfriend.

But Mr Ladenburg admitted Weeks had a “very entrenched pattern of behaviour” and “cannot help himself or resist the temptation of touching" a child.

He said he also struggled to “accept the culpability” of what he had done.

Sentencing, Judge Robert Pawson told Weeks: “Whether you accept it or not you are a paedophile.”

He said that due to the “seriousness” of the offences he was jailing him for eight years, followed by an extended licence period of a further four years.

Weeks was also given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

Speaking after the case DC Steve Cartwright, of Dorset Police’s paedophile online investigation team, said: “Adam Weeks was a convicted sex offender who continued to subject young children to despicable sexual abuse for his own gratification.

“Through our investigation we were able to expose his offending and ensure he was held to account for his actions.

“Offending of this nature often has a devastating and lifelong impact on the child victims involved and we remain committed to identifying those involved in these horrific crimes and bringing them before the courts.”

A paedophile from west Dorset has been jailed for 32 months after offending over a 17 year period.

Timothy Brian Lovegrove, whose address was given as Black Lane, in Evershot, appeared before Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, September 30 for sentencing.

Lovegrove, 68, had pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs and pseudo photographs of a child and one count of possessing extreme pornographic images portraying an act of intercourse with a live animal.

He had made 24 Category A, 17 Category B and 2,194 Category C moving and still indecent images of children at Evershot, over a 17-year period between April 10, 2004 and June 24, 2021.

He also admitted during the same 17-year period to possessing 27 extreme pornographic images depicting, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal.

Lovegrove was issued with four concurrent jail sentences totalling 32 months in prison. He has also been ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely and will be subject to an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.

A SEX offender was caught messaging a 'child' in an undercover police sting.

Ashley Mark Yard, 38, thought he was messaging a 13-year-old girl called Holly.

He sent a picture of himself and made various sexual references between April 6 and April 8 last year.

Yard, of Cocklands, Charminster, was in fact communicating with a police officer who was pretending to be the teenage girl.

Judge Stephen Climie said it was "good fortune rather than design" that no actual child suffered harm as a result of Yard's "serious" offending.

Yard previously pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child. He appeared in the dock for sentencing on Tuesday, May 10.

Prosecuting, Hannah Williams said the defendant started messaging the 'girl' online. The undercover officer wrote in messages that Holly was 13 years old and from Derby.

Ms Williams said the conversation continued with Yard writing that "he wants a long-term relationship" and asking her about what she was wearing.

The communication moved to WhatsApp, where the defendant made references to sexual behaviour and whether the girl would like it.

Officers attended an address in Poole where he was staying at the time in June last year. He identified himself and he was arrested.

In interview, Yard made full admissions and expressed his remorse, Ms Williams said.

The court heard the defendant was jailed for 18 months in 2010 for a series of convictions relating to making and distributing indecent images of children in 2007 and 2008.

Mitigating, Amber Athill said her client "appreciates the seriousness of the offence", adding that he was "extremely anxious" ahead of the sentencing hearing.

She described the offence as a "momentary slip up when he was using cocaine heavily".

Ms Athill said the drug use made him act "impulsively" and he "forgot all he had learned and all he had achieved in those 14 years" since his previous criminality.

The defendant was "disgusted and ashamed" after reading the conversation he had with the 'girl'.

The court heard the offence carried a maximum sentence of two years.

Judge Climie said the appropriate starting point was 15 months imprisonment before reducing this by a third to 10 months due to his guilty plea at an early stage.

He decided against sending the defendant to prison. He said he would have only served a short time behind bars and then not be under supervision.

"The public would be concerned for the future as am I," said Judge Climie.

After hearing of the defendant's compliance with the previous 10-year sexual harm prevention order, Yard was made subject to a new indefinite order, which will likely run for the rest of his life.

The judge sentenced Yard to a three-year community order, which would keep the offender under the "court and probation service's control for the next three years".

He was placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.

A MAN has been jailed for 19 years after being found guilty of historic child sex offences.

David Neil Cook, 62, was convicted of two counts of rape, one count of indecent assault and one count of indecency with a child following a trial at Winchester Crown Court. 

 The offences were committed between April 1991 and April 1993 and involved one female child victim.

The victim first disclosed the offences to police in 2019 and Cook was subsequently arrested and charged.

Cook, of Glebe Way, West Knighton, pleaded not guilty in an appearance at Bournemouth Crown Court last year and his case was sent to trial at Winchester Crown Court where he was found guilty of the four charges by a jury last October.

He appeared again at Winchester Crown Court for sentencing this month year where a judge sentenced him to a total of 19 years' imprisonment.

The victim, who has been described as showing 'immense courage', told the Echo that she made the report to police following 'years of anxiety'.

She said: "I was too young to realise what was going on, what he was making me do."

Despite what has been a very difficult time, the victim said she was glad that the case was over and was happy with the sentence given to Cook.

She said she doesn't want other victims of abuse to feel ashamed about what happened to them or to hide behind their abuse for years.

She said: "People shouldn't keep secrets, they should not be ashamed, and they will be believed."

Detective Constable Mandy Lawrence, of Dorset Police’s Child Abuse Investigation Team, said: “The victim showed immense courage in coming forward to report what happened to them to police.

“I am pleased that following our investigation, David Cook is now behind bars for his unacceptable behaviour.

“We will relentlessly tackle child sexual abuse by supporting victims, encouraging reporting and ensuring those who inflict abuse are brought to justice.

“I hope this case encourages others to find the strength to come forward to report any sexual abuse in the knowledge that they will be supported and a thorough investigation will be carried out.”

A 'MANIPULATIVE' man who sexually assaulted five women when they were children in sickening attacks spanning almost three decades has been jailed for 14 years.

Following a trial at Salisbury Crown Court, Christopher Symes was found guilty by a jury on November 10 of eight counts of indecent assault, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 and one count of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

The 58-year-old, of Lorne Road, Dorchester, had already pleaded guilty to six other charges, including three counts of sexual activity with a child, two counts of sexual assault and one count of taking indecent photographs of a child.

All of the offences took place between 1984 to 2012.

One of Symes victims made a disclosure to police in December 2017, claiming she had been sexually abused by the defendant, with the offending first occurring when she was aged around nine or ten years old.

Following enquiries by officers, further victims were identified and spoken to, who also reported being abused by the defendant as children.

Symes was arrested and his phone was seized for examination. On it were found a number of indecent images of one of his victims.

The court heard that five women in total, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had come forward accusing Symes of abusing them as children.

At the sentencing hearing at Bournemouth Crown Court which took place today (December 21) Judge Robert Pawson said Symes was 'manipulative' and 'unrepentant' and that he 'targeted vulnerable girls' in his 'systematic abuse'.

He said: "All five women suffered at the time, and some have for decades afterwards.

"You take your victim as you find them."

Victim personal statements from all five women were read out to the court at a previous hearing on Friday, December 17, where they expressed the lifelong trauma they had suffered following Symes' abuse.

The brave women expressed how they felt Symes was in a position of trust which he 'completely violated'. One woman said the he 'stole her innocence'.

The judge again reassured victims during today's sentencing that they should not be left feeling any blame after many expressed that they felt guilty in their victim personal statement for not speaking out sooner to stop Symes from offending the other victims after them.

He said: "None of them [the victims] has anything to blame themselves for. They were children. It is not their fault that you abused them.

"In court, the five women had to relive the abuse you perpetrated on them as children."

Judge Pawson sentenced Symes to a 17-year sentence, comprising of a 14-year custodial sentence and three-year extension.

The judge said his sentence was being extended because he was deemed to pose a significant risk of harm to female children in a pre-sentence report.

Judge Pawson also issued Symes a restraining order.

He said: "You are to have no contact by any means whatsoever with any of the named five victims and that is indefinite."

Symes has also been put on the sex offenders register for life.

A RAPIST who grabbed a woman by her throat and sexually assaulted her has been jailed.

Liam James Puncher, aged 23 and of Dorchester, was jailed for six-and-a-half years in prison after being found guilty of the offence at a previous trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

On the night of Friday, February 22, 2019, the defendant and the victim, a woman who was known to him, were at her home on Portland and watching a film together.

Puncher began touching her in a sexual manner and the victim clearly told him to stop.

At around 1.50am on Saturday, February 23 2019 the defendant made further advances and proceeded to grab her by the throat as he raped her.

Following the incident, Puncher left the property and then texted his victim to apologise, before asking her not to tell anyone.

Puncher reported himself to the police in the early hours of Sunday, February 24, 2019 stating he wanted to hand himself in in relation to an incident that had happened on Portland.

The victim made a report later that morning and Puncher was arrested shortly afterwards.

In police interview, Puncher claimed they had engaged in consensual sexual activity and denied he had raped his victim.

Detective Sergeant Jo Blackmore, of Weymouth CID, said: The jury during Punchers trial clearly rejected his false claims that this was a consensual act and I want to praise the victim for having the courage to come forward and support our investigation.

She showed immense bravery throughout the court process and helped secure a conviction and jail term for the man who raped her.

I hope her actions will give other victims the strength to come forward in the knowledge that they will be supported and we will do all we can to bring sexual attackers to justice.

William Palmer, 23, “manipulated” the child over several months by exchanging explicit photographs on messaging app Snapchat before committing the sexual touching offence.

Palmer, of Wisteria Drive, Verwood, was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison at Bournemouth Crown Court after he admitted charges of engaging in sexual communication with a child and engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a child under the age of 16.

Judge Jonathan Fuller QC told the defendant that he “exploited” the teenager and “pressured” her into sending intimate pictures after he first sent an image of male genitalia.

The judge described Palmer’s actions, which developed over a “significant period of time”, as “typical manipulation” of a child.

He said there was a “significant disparity” in age between the defendant and the victim.

“You were fully aware of her age and you were fully aware that you were at risk of going to prison,” said Judge Fuller.

“Nevertheless, you continued and continued for some time.”

Prosecuting, Emma Smith said Palmer was arrested after the child disclosed what had happened to police.

In interview, he initially denied receiving or sending any pictures, stating someone must have hijacked his account.

Under further questioning, Palmer broke down in tears and admitted there had been an exchange of messages but claimed the girl had asked him to send images.

When asked about sexual activity, he again denied it before making admissions and suggesting it was consensual and instigated by the teenager.

In court, Palmer accepted this was not the case and he in fact instigated the messaging and sexual activity.

As Ms Smith outlined the facts of the case, the defendant spent long periods with his head down in the dock.

Mitigating, Robert Grey said Palmer had no previous convictions and was remorseful for what he had done.

The barrister said the defendant had suffered from depression and anxiety for the past five years, adding that he lacks confidence.

Mr Grey asked the judge to consider a suspended sentence, but after jailing Palmer, Judge Fuller QC said: “Even if the sentence level was such that could be suspended, that would not be appropriate in this case.

“It would not mark the seriousness of the offence.”

Alongside the prison term, Palmer was placed on the sex offenders register.

A man who raped an 11-year-old girl on Portland has today been jailed for seven years.

James Connell Loveman, 23, was sentenced today at Bournemouth Crown Court.

He attacked the girl in the Old Windmill near Easton on a night in August last year.

Loveman, of Portland, was convicted of charges of rape and assault by penetration today following a trial in September.

He had previously admitted an offence of sexual assault of a female aged under 13.

The victim, who was 11 at the time of the incident, was with her 14-year-old friend and they had spent the evening walking around Portland.

At around 1.30am on Saturday 31 August they were in the area of Easton Square when they met a man who was sitting on a bicycle.

They walked with him to an old windmill to the south of Park Road, where they chatted for a time before the victims friend went outside. Once he was alone with the victim, Loveman sexually assaulted her and then raped her before riding off on his bike in the direction of Weston.

Following an investigation led by detectives from the Forces Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT), Lovemans DNA was found to be a match of a profile obtained from the victims clothing and he was arrested on Saturday 7 September 2019.

The victim said that the incident had terrified her and she came forward because she did not want Loveman to do the same thing to someone else and that she would not wish what happened to her on anybody.

She added that she had been hurt by comments made, including online, which implied that she or her family were in some way at fault for what happened or that she had lied.

Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of MCIT, said: This was a horrific sexual attack of a young victim and I would like to praise the girl involved for the courage she displayed in coming forward and supporting the investigation and trial process.

I want to thank her and all those involved in the investigation for their assistance in helping to bring James Loveman to justice for his horrific crimes.

I hope this case demonstrates that we will support victims who report sexual offences and do all we can to identify the culprits and hold them accountable for their actions.

Julia Woodward, CPS Wessex Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Senior Crown Prosecutor said: The victim in this case was incredibly brave throughout the investigation and prosecution. She was courageous in contacting the police immediately to report what had happened to her, which meant that Loveman could be identified and arrested quickly.

A RAPIST was given a reduced sentence after "excruciating" delays in getting the case to court.

A judge said the offender "should have been charged probably two years earlier than you were."

And his victim told the court she considered dropping the case because it took almost three years to come to trial.

The sentence was also reduced because coronavirus restrictions in prisons are said to be making sentences tougher with reduced social interaction and the likelihood of spending 23 hours a day locked in a cell.

Dennis Adkin, 49, of Cuthbury Gardens, Wimborne, was convicted of raping a woman in her own home after a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

The court heard the offence was committed on November 13 2017 and reported on December 10.

Adkins was interviewed a day later but was not charged until January 2020.

Judge Robert Pawson said the delay affected both the victim and the rapist and said his sentence was reduced as a result.

He was jailed for three years and three months.

Judge Pawson suggested police and the Crown Prosecution Service review the way in which the case was handled.

And he added: "It is just dreadful. The victim had periods of wanting to drop the case because of the delay."

He described the delays as "excruciating" and added: "There is no proper explanation as to why that delay took place."

Jurors were told Adkin attacked his victim in her own home and she has since felt the need to move house.

In a victim impact statement the woman said: "The whole court process has made my anxiety levels go through the roof. It has affected my life massively.

"I felt very crushed. This is something that will stay with me for a very long time. I still wait up at night fighting and shouting in my sleep. I am constantly scared and feel vulnerable all the time."

Adkin was also handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim indefinitely. He will also have to register as a sex offender.

A MAN was today found guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl at knifepoint on school playing fields in Dorchester.

Adrian Cordery attacked the teenager as she walked back from her part-time job at night.

The 32-year-old, of Dorchester, had originally admitted rape, but changed his plea to not guilty, leading to a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.

But today a jury unanimously found him guilty of the charge, along with another of threatening with a knife relating to the attack in fields on Barnes Way on December 5 last year.

Cordery has been registered on the sex offenders register. He will be sentenced on November 3.

During the trial, the jury was played a pre-recorded interview given to officers by the schoolgirl on the day after she was raped, in which she told how she thought she was going to die.

The girl said: I was texting and listening to music when the next thing I knew the man had his hands on my arms. He said, dont move, be quiet, Ive got a knife, if you do what I say I wont hurt you'.

I was confused, really confused, when he first put his hands on me. I thought it was one of my friends trying to scare me. I realised that it was not anything like that.

I was really scared, I was trying to think about everything I have been told in my life about what to do in that situation.

He dragged me from the path onto the field. I kept trying to get away, I tried to snap my head back to hit him on the nose and I kept kicking back. He pulled the knife up to my throat.

I was doing everything I could to get him off me. He threw me to the ground. He got on top of me. He kept trying to get my clothes off but I was wearing a jumpsuit so he grabbed the knife and slit my clothes. He was clawing at it. He took the knife and just slashed. He cut through my tights, he cut through my underwear and he ripped them.

In her police interview, the victim said the attacker put her jacket over her head to prevent her seeing his face.

She added: I couldnt breathe, he kept pushing it closer and closer he was strangling me. I was crying and getting panicked, I was making a lot of noise

I was saying get off me, why are you doing this, go away, please stop.

He then raped me, holding my head down to the ground and I just knew I wasnt going to get out. I just had to wait for him to finish.

He used a lot of force. It hurt a lot, it was very uncomfortable and he was being very rough. I felt vulnerable and scared. I thought he was going to kill me.

I felt worthless and vulnerable and completely and utterly violated. I was extremely embarrassed. I grabbed my stuff and just ran as fast as I could back home.

A "dangerous" paedophile who encouraged a Greenhithe woman he met online to sexually abuse children for his pleasure has been jailed for life.

James Jewell, 36, of Brymer Road, Puddletown, Dorchester, admitted six counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, aiding and abetting the sexual assault of a child and aiding and abetting an offender to engage in sexual activity with a child.

He was also sentenced for three counts of making indecent images of a child and two counts of distributing indecent images of a child.

The charges related to offences which occurred in Greenhithe and Tunbridge Wells between November 2017 and July 2018, where Jewell encouraged two women he met online to carry out sexual abuse of children.

Kirsty Kimber, 26, of York Road, Tunbridge Wells, was jailed for more than nine years in February after pleading guilty to six counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, four counts of taking indecent photographs of a child and three counts of distributing indecent photographs of a child.

Concerns were raised on 20 July 2018 after videos were found by a friend on a mobile phone of her abusing a child.

She was also found to have shared these videos via an instant messaging app with Jewell.

The second woman, from Greenhithe, was handed a 14-month sentence, suspended for 18 months in July 2019, after pleading guilty to seven child sex offences.

Both women were also handed Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.

Following an investigation Jewell was arrested in August 2018 and charged with the offences in February 2020

As part of the life sentence he must serve a minimum of six years and eight months before being considered for parole.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Karl Brett said: "Jewell is a dangerous man who coerced these women to carry out this abuse for his own gratification.

"He managed to convince them to engage in these heinous crimes which were committed against young children and the trauma caused to these children cannot be underestimated.

"I would encourage anyone with concerns of a similar nature to contact Kent Police so officers can investigate and safeguard children if required."
