Description
A rapist has been jailed after targeting a teenage victim.
Dane Perren, of Sittingbourne, was accused of raping the young woman in June 2023.
The 41-year-old was charged with rape, attempted rape, assault by penetration and sexual assault.
Perren denied the sexual offences and was put on trial at Maidstone Crown Court.
A jury found him guilty of all charges last Thursday (July 23).
The following day, he was sentenced to seven years in prison.
He has also been put on the Sex Offenders’ Register and is subject to an indefinite restraining order.
