Description
A serial sex offender who groped schoolchildren has been jailed for breaching court orders.
Goherali Damani, 60, of Pilgrim Close in Morden, was sentenced to one year in prison on March 4 at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court, where he pleaded guilty.
Previously convicted in 2023 of sexually assaulting schoolgirls as young as 12 and exposing himself to women and children on buses in south London, Damani was subject to a sexual harm prevention order. It banned him from using public transport without an Oyster card registered in his name and from sitting next to any unknown female.
On November 18 last year, he breached the order by sitting next to a woman on the 155 bus in Lambeth without tapping in using a registered card.
Magistrates concluded he had a flagrant disregard for court orders, justifying only a prison sentence.
