A pervert that groomed what he believed was a 13 year old girl has avoided a prison sentence.
Timothy Cadwallader, 68 of London appeared at court where he admitted there counts of an adult engaging a child into sexual activity
The court was told that Cadwallader had contacted the online profile of who he believed belonged to a 13 year old girl.
Referring to himself as naughty daddy, he repeatedly told the child that he wanted to engage her into various sexual acts.
Cadwallader did have one previous conviction which dated back to 2003, when he was arrested for domestic violence towards his partner, by threatening her with a dangerous weapon.
However, the child was actually an adult member of a paedophile hunting team.
Scorpion Hunters, who carried out the sting on behalf of Protecting All Little Souls (PALS) confronted Cadwallader at his home where they questioned him on his internet activity. The police were called and Cadwallader was arrested.
The judge handed him a four month prison sentence which was suspended for 24 months.
A supervision order was put in place and a five year sexual harm prevention order was also issued.
Cadwallader was told to register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
