A man who secretly took intimate photos and videos of two women and a child has been jailed.

Sean Eaves’ crimes first came to light in September 2023 when the 41-year-old sent a screenshot of an intimate video of himself with the first victim to her through Instagram messenger.  

He was arrested in 2024, and officers found the video as well as evidence linking him to the Instagram account on his mobile phone.  

The phone also had intimate photos of another woman, taken without her knowledge, stored on it.

Eaves was released on bail but a few months later, officers received an anonymous tip-off he had another mobile phone and indecent images of children.

A warrant was carried out at a home in Chatteris in January where officers found a memory card containing 18 indecent videos of a child, taken secretly by Eaves.

The second phone was found in his car and contained a further eight indecent videos and 72 photos, all of the same child. 

On Friday (6 March), at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court, acting as a crown court, Eaves, of Hawthorne Road, Finedon, near Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, was jailed for two years, having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to three counts of voyeurism and one count each of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress and taking an indecent image of a child.

He was also handed a seven-year restraining order for all the victims, a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and also required to register monthly at a police station for ten years. 

DC Amberlie Ford, who investigated, said:

“Eaves shamefully took photos of these women and the child without their knowledge, which violated their dignity and privacy, so I welcome the sentence passed down by the courts.

“I would also like to pay tribute to the victims, whose strength in coming forward and supporting us with a prosecution has led to this result.”

A Northampton man has been jailed for subjecting his former partner to months of domestic abuse, with the judge branding his behaviour "cowardly, cruel and unrelenting".

Craig Stewart, 34, of Helmdon Crescent, Kingsthorpe, appeared via video link from prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on July 15, with sentencing adjourned to September 2. He was convicted of controlling and coercive behaviour, plus two counts of assault by beating and three counts of causing actual bodily harm (ABH), committed between April and September 2021.

Stewart pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing on November 25, 2021.

Prosecutor Alex Radley told the court that two weeks into the relationship, Stewart demanded the victim's Instagram account be made private. The first violence followed a restaurant incident, where he slapped her at home and said she "deserved it".

Stewart called her constantly to check her activities, made derogatory comments about her outfits, called her names in public, checked her phone, and threatened to hurt her cat as it "threatened the undivided attention Stewart wanted".

Mr Radley detailed further violence, including headbutting, slapping, punching, and strangling. In one incident, "He strangled her with both hands and squeezed to the point where she couldn’t breathe. She thought he was going to kill her." Stewart also threatened to kill her and her family.

The final assault involved a torrent of abuse and punches to her head while she drove; she fled to a petrol station for help.

Stewart has 27 previous offences from 2009 to January 2020.

Defence barrister Karen Walton said Stewart accepts his behaviour was "frightening", noting his "depressing and sad background in relation to his family background and people he was close to when he was younger". She added: "He wishes to apologise unreservedly to the victim and accepts how terrifying his behaviour must have been."

His Honour Judge Francis Sheridan described Stewart's actions as "absolutely disgusting", adding: "We have to get the message across to the defendant that women are people in their own right. They are not and never will be your property.

"You have to learn that the court will do everything they can to protect them. If you are not prepared to stop, the sentences will get longer.

"I don’t know why this man was not charged with something more serious such as threats to kill. He should have been."

Stewart was sentenced to 45 months in prison, with an indefinite restraining order barring contact with the victim. He remains under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) from a prior case.

A man who sexually assaulted a woman after posing as a taxi driver has been locked up.

The victim, aged in her 20s, was walking home from a night out in Nottingham in the early hours of 18 May 2025 when a car pulled up alongside her in South Sherwood Street.

The driver, Kelvin Ndoro, told her the VW Golf was a taxi and she got in the front passenger seat.

When she asked to be taken home, Ndoro drove in the opposite direction before pulling into the car park of the Lidl supermarket, in Mansfield Road, and locking the doors.

Ndoro touched her leg and said they should get into the rear of the vehicle.

The victim agreed as an opportunity to escape and she managed to get out the vehicle and hide before summoning help from passers-by.

Thanks to detailed information from the woman, who also recorded Ndoro touching her leg, detectives identified Ndoro as a suspect.

He was arrested at Toddington Services, on the M1 in Bedfordshire, the following day.

Forty-two-year-old Ndoro, of Kings Street, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, eventually pleaded guilty to sexual assault.

He was jailed for 15 months at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday (5 February) and was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

Detective Constable Rebecca Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police said:

“This must have been a terrifying experience for the young woman and we know it has had a lasting psychological impact upon her.

“The victim’s quick thinking allowed her to escape from the car having been duped into getting into it simply to get home from a night out.

“Ndoro’s behaviour was predatory and officers worked quickly to identify his vehicle, trace it and arrest him.

“We then built a strong case against him, while supporting the victim, leaving Ndoro with no option but to admit what he had done.”

A 60-year-old man who sexually abused a child over a period of 11 years has been jailed for 15 years. 

Melvyn Peter Brown, previously of Northampton, started to groom the girl when she was five-years-old, with the abuse only stopping when she was 16.

She was around 10-years-old when Brown raped her for the first time.

The abuse was reported to police at the end of last year and following an investigation, Brown was arrested and charged with a number of offences.  

A trial was set for May this year at Northampton Crown Court with Brown admitting to seven offences before and during - two counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl 13-15, two counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14 during the trial, two counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, and one count of causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

The jury then took about four hours to deliver their verdicts on the remaining charges, finding Brown guilty of three counts of indecent assault , one count of assault by penetration of a girl under 13, one count of sexual activity with a child aged 13-15, two counts of sexual assault of a girl under 13, one count of sexual intercourse with a girl under 13, and one count of sexual activity in the presence of a child under 16.

Brown returned to the same court yesterday (January 5) where he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the 16 offences.

Lead investigator - Detective Sergeant Chelsea Noble of the SOLAR Team, said:

“The abuse perpetrated against this girl at the hands of Melvyn Brown was truly terrible and so I am very pleased to see him jailed for 15 years. 

“Although no sentence can ever make up for what she was put through, I hope the fact that her abuser is now behind bars provides her with some comfort. She has been so brave in supporting our investigation and I hope she feels proud of the courage she has shown.

“Child abuse is a horrific crime that has a lasting-effect, and we are really passionate in the SOLAR team about putting offenders in prison and providing the survivors with the care and compassion they deserve.

“It doesn’t matter how long ago the abuse took place, we will always do our best to try and bring the case to court.

“I am glad that Melvyn Brown is now where he belongs, and I want to reassure the local community that we will continue working hard to bring more people like him to justice.”

A 37-year-old man has been jailed after he pleaded guilty to child sex offences.

At the end of April this year, Ashley Brian Evans befriended a girl on Facebook he believed to be 14 years old.

He then proceeded to engage with her in inappropriate conversations - asking for indecent photos of her as well as in her school uniform, while trying to engage her in explicit chat. He also sent her an inappropriate video of himself. 

What Evans didn’t know however, is that the 14-year-old girl was actually an adult.

Northamptonshire Police was contacted, and Evans was arrested and subsequently charged with attempting to cause a child to watch a person engaging in sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child, attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity, and possession of Class A drugs.

After pleading guilty to the offences at Northampton Crown Court at an earlier hearing, Evans returned to the same court earlier this month (December 12) where he was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.

Lead investigator - Detective Constable Jon Brawn from the Force’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team, said:

“I hope this case demonstrates the consequences of attempting to engage a child in sexual chat online.

“If you are caught - and you will be eventually - you will end up in prison.

“We have had some really good results this year in our team and we plan to be just as determined and relentless in 2026.”

Description

A man has been sentenced following a series of serious sexual offences against children in both Sussex and Suffolk.

Inam Khan, 37, of Troon Crescent, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, spent time in online chat rooms and on Snapchat, targeting young children while lying about his own age to build and manipulate trust.

On 19 September, 2022, Khan travelled to Suffolk from his home to meet with a 14-year-old girl who he had spent time grooming online and through Snapchat.

Khan then took the victim to a nearby location, where he went on to rape her. A further attempted rape against the same victim was also reported to police.

Officers immediately began working to track Khan, and he was arrested on 1 October, 2022.

He was later charged with two counts of rape, and one of attempted rape.

In a similar style to his previous offending, Khan soon began work on grooming a 12-year-old girl in Sussex, while he pretended to be just 16-years-old.

He went on to ask her for explicit photographs, stating he needed them to prove that she was a girl.

In the early hours of 8 September, 2024, Khan made the long car journey to the 12-year-olds address and bombarded her with messages to pressure her into meeting him.

He went on to abduct her and sexually assault her.

Six days later, Khan drove to the area again and unsuccessfully attempted to meet the victim.

In total, it is estimated that Khan travelled around 600 miles during these two trips.

The offences were later reported to police, and Khan was quickly arrested on 25 November.

On 27 November, he was charged with assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, taking a child so as to remove her from a person having lawful control, engaging in sexual communications with a child, and with meeting a child following grooming.

At his hearing at Brighton Magistrates' Court later that same day, Khan was remanded into custody ahead of further hearings.

This year, on 23 June, Khan’s trial began at Hove Crown Court and lasted for nine days.

On 3 July, the jury returned verdicts of guilty on all counts regarding both the Sussex and Suffolk cases.

Khan was then remanded back into custody ahead of his sentencing on Monday, 22 December at Hove Crown Court, where he was jailed for 19 years, with three further years to be spent on licence.

Detective Sergeant, Matt Williamson, from Suffolk Police, said: 

"Inam Khan is a dangerous predator, using social media to identify and then meet vulnerable females, whom he then subjected to sexual assaults.

"This investigation was a complex and lengthy process, which also involved working jointly with Sussex Constabulary who had identified another victim.

"Khan’s horrific offending has caused untold suffering to his victims, which will have a long-lasting impact, not only for them, but also for their families.

"I would like to commend them for the extraordinary courage they have demonstrated in reporting this to the police, the support that they and their families have given to the investigation and for the considerable patience they have shown.

"I hope that some measure of justice and reassurance can be found following today’s outcome, not only to the victims and their loved ones, but also to other victims of sexual violence and those not yet ready to come forward.

"I would also like to thank DC Charlotte Blake, the officer in charge of the case. Her diligence and commitment to this investigation helped to ensure that the right outcome was reached for the victim.

"Targeting perpetrators of sexual assault and violence against women and girls is a priority for Suffolk Constabulary. We will not tolerate it and will continue to work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice and support victims of this type of criminality."

Detective Sergeant, Jamie Ashford, from Sussex Police, said: 

"Our thoughts remain firmly with the victims and their families, whose courage in engaging with this investigation has been exceptional.

"The impact of Khan’s actions has been significant, and it is right that he is now facing the consequences of the harm he caused.

"This case highlights the very real dangers posed when children are approached online by individuals intent on grooming and sexual exploitation.

"Khan used digital platforms to manipulate trust, disguise his motives, and single out young people that he planned to harm.

"We encourage parents, carers and children to stay alert to the risks that can be present in these online spaces.

"Officers in Sussex worked swiftly to identify the risk Khan posed, and close collaboration with our colleagues in Suffolk was vital in ensuring that his pattern of predatory behaviour was fully uncovered.

"This outcome reflects the determination of both forces to protect vulnerable young people and to pursue offenders who seek to exploit them.

"We will continue to prioritise the safety of children within our communities, acting decisively whenever concerns are raised and doing everything we can to prevent predators from causing further harm."

A 21-year-old man has been sent to prison after he was convicted of breaching his Sexual Risk Order (SRO).

Conor McIntyre, previously of Kings Heath, Northampton, was issued with an SRO in November 2024.

However, in August 2025, he was handed a 20-month sentence, suspended for two years, after he admitted five breaches of the order. These offences happened in June this year when McIntyre was found to have been in contact with girls aged 16 and 12, along with concealing his history of online communication, failing to provide a PIN to an online messaging account, and knowingly withholding information about a relationship.

In September 2025, McIntyre breached the order again when he was arrested by police officers in Milton Keynes after he was found to be in company with two girls aged 17 and 13.

This contact was in breach of his SRO which prohibited him from having any contact with any child under the age of 18.

He was charged with two breaches of his SRO as a result and pleaded guilty to the offences at Northampton Crown Court in October.

He returned to the same court this month (November 13) where he was sentenced to a total of two years and eight months in prison.

“I am pleased that he has received a custodial sentence for his most recent breaches and that his suspended sentence was invoked in full.

“The MOSOVO team is really passionate about protecting our communities in Northamptonshire and we will continue working hard to ensure that anyone else who breaches the terms of their SRO, like McIntyre, is brought to justice.”

A 45-year-old man has been sent back to prison after he admitted to breaching the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and failing to comply with Sex Offenders’ Register notification requirements.

Simon Giles, previously of Northampton, was issued with a SHPO in June 2024, which placed him on the Sex Offenders’ Register.

The SHPO was issued with certain conditions he was required to abide by, including notifying the police of any social media usage, as well as not disposing of any internet devices without authorisation.

However, on June 3 this year, Northamptonshire Police’s MOSOVO Team was made aware that he had been using the social media platform Connected2, something he had failed to notify them of. He had also sold an iPad without permission.

He was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of breaching his SHPO and one count of failing to comply with his notification requirements, after he failed to declare a social networking username.

On June 11, Giles appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to all three charges, and he was remanded into custody after his case was committed to the county’s crown court for sentencing.

Last month (August 27), Giles was sentenced at Northampton Crown Court to 12 months in prison.

Risk Management Officer Lucy Fraser-Allen, from the Force’s MOSOVO team, said:

“Registered sex offenders are managed very closely by our team and any breach of their conditions, no matter how small, is dealt with robustly and with a zero-tolerance approach.

“Giles was well aware of the need to make us aware of any new social media usage or usernames, but he failed to do so and he has been shown the consequences as a result.

“It is our duty to protect the most vulnerable people in our society from people like Simon Giles and we will continue working hard to ensure that anyone else who breaches the terms of their SHPO is brought to justice.”

A 24-year-old man has been jailed in absentia after he was found guilty of sexually abusing four girls.

Raeshon Dean Everton Rose, of The Headlands, Northampton, first started abusing the girls, who were all children, when he was a teenager. The abuse lasted for six years.

The court heard how Rose abused his victims on multiple occasions, forcing them to perform oral sex on him and repeatedly sexual assaulting them.

In 2021, one of the girls bravely told a friend about the abuse which had taken place when she was younger and this started a process which would set a police investigation in motion.

Northamptonshire Police would go on to find three other girls who Rose had sexually abused.

After pleading not guilty to the charges, Rose appeared at Northampton Crown Court in July where the trial jury found him guilty of eight counts of sexually assaulting a child aged under 13, five counts of child rape and one of causing or inciting a child under the age of 13 to engage in sexual activity.

On Thursday, August 28, he was sentenced to a total of six-and-a-half years in prison.

However, the court was then told the defendant was being sentenced in absentia after he fled the UK while on bail from the earlier hearing.

Northamptonshire Police is now carrying out extensive inquiries to determine his whereabouts and bring him back to the UK to serve his sentence.

Det Supt Jen Castle, head of child safeguarding, said:

“It is deeply distressing for the victims to discover Rose has fled the country – and justice – following his trial. Northamptonshire Police is doing all it can to locate the defendant and ensure that he serves his sentence.

 “The four young women in this case have shown tremendous bravery and I cannot stress that enough. They have found courage they should never have had to call upon.

“Raeshon Rose’s crimes lasted more than half a decade and we are appealing for anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts to contact us on 101.

“Northamptonshire Police takes all forms of sexual abuse incredibly seriously. If you have been subjected to any form of assault or abuse, please come forward and report it to us. We will listen. We will believe you. And we will do all we can to bring those responsible to account.

A man who raped a woman after holding her against her will, and harassed another woman, has been given an extended sentence totalling 15 years.

On May 25 last year, Northamptonshire Police received a report from a woman who told officers she had been approached four days earlier in Northampton by a man she knew, who made her go with him to a cellar in Queens Road where he pulled off her clothes before orally raping her.

The woman also reported that the man had robbed her during April, taking cash from her.

An investigation was launched by the Force’s dedicated rape investigation team, SOLAR, with Simon Turay, aged 47, identified as the suspect.

He was arrested on May 26 at the home of a former partner, who he was banned from contacting or approaching under a restraining order made in June 2023.

Turay went on to be charged with rape, kidnap and robbery against the first woman, and two counts of harassment and one of common assault against the second woman.

As the rape case progressed towards trial, on October 9, 2024, Turay again breached the restraining order by calling the second woman and trying to tell her what to say in court.

This led to a third charge of harassment, as well as one count of intending to pervert the course of justice.

Turay, of no fixed address, admitted the harassment, assault and perverting the course of justice charges, but went to trial on the rape, kidnap and robbery offences.

At Northampton Crown Court on May 21 this year, he was found guilty of all three counts.

Returning to the same court on Thursday, July 31, Turay was given an extended sentence totalling 15 years for the rape.

Used for criminals convicted of specific offences who are deemed to be dangerous, Turay’s extended sentence comprises 11 years’ imprisonment and a further four years on licence.

He also received one year’s imprisonment for the kidnap, and 30 months each for the robbery and perverting the course of justice, all to be served concurrently.

A further charge of giving a false statement, which Turay had denied, was discharged.

Turay was also given an indefinite restraining order banning him from contacting the rape survivor by any means or from entering Northampton town centre, and an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order to guard against future offending.

Conditions of this include that he must tell police about any future potential partner so they can be made aware of his criminal convictions.

Speaking afterwards, joint investigating officer Detective Constable Harriet Stevenson, of SOLAR, said:

“Simon Turay has a long background of violent offending against women, and the ordeal he subjected the rape survivor to was nothing short of horrific.

“Turay’s actions on May 21 last year were predatory, entitled and threatening, and I’m really pleased he has received a significant prison sentence which reflects his dangerousness.

“The survivor’s courage in reporting him to police has ensured he has been brought to justice, and I would like to thank her for her bravery and for placing her trust in us. I hope this sentence brings her some comfort as she continues to heal.”

She added her thanks to fellow investigator, Detective Constable Hayley Reed.

A man who made and distributed thousands of indecent images of children has been jailed for four and a half years.

John Carver, aged 38, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at King's Lynn Crown Court on Friday 18 July having previously admitted 8 counts of distributing indecent images of a child, 2 counts of making indecent images of a child and 7 counts of blackmail. He also admitted failing to comply with Sex Offender Register notification requirements.

The court heard how in January 2024 Carver, a registered sex offender, disappeared from the approved premises in Northamptonshire where he was supposed to be staying.  

To avoid capture, he spent the next year moving from hotel to hotel usually only staying in each one for a day or two, using different alias to avoid detection. To fund this lifestyle he sold incident images of children on the internet using various social media and storage platforms.

A complex and detailed investigation was launched to track his transactions and on the 8th of January 2025 intelligence showed Carver was on a bus to Norwich. Police were at Norwich Bus Station when he arrived and arrested him.

Following his arrest, analysis of Carver's mobile phone showed he had joined multiple groups online, offering photographs of very young children and  babies. He had set up a large number online payment accounts through which he had received thousands of pounds for the indecent material.  In some cases he also blackmailed buyers, asking them for money or he would report them to police. 

Carver was sentenced to four and a half years imprisonment and a further four and a half years on extended licence.  He remains on the Sex Offenders Register for life and his Sexual Harm Prevention Order remains indefinite.

Following sentencing Detective Constable Aaron Alley said,

"Carver is an extremely dangerous individual who demonstrated a chilling disregard for the children depicted in the images he was sharing. 

“He believed he could evade justice.  But thanks to the tireless work of officers he was left with no choice but to plead guilty after a catalogue of evidence was gathered against him.

“Every single indecent image and video shared online represents a real child somewhere in the world enduring unimaginable abuse.

“We remain absolutely committed to protecting children from harm, relentlessly pursuing those who exploit them, and ensuring they are brought before the courts.”

A registered sex offender made thousands of pounds selling indecent images of children to people who he then tried to blackmail, prosecutors claim.

John Carver, 37, is accused of 17 offences including demanding money with menaces by threatening to track people down and call police.

Norwich Magistrates’ Court heard it was alleged he sold indecent images between September 2024 and January 2025 to online users of the Telegram app including in Norfolk. 

Josephine Jones, prosecuting, said he had swapped devices to cover his tracks. 

Carver, who is from Northampton, entered no plea to seven counts of blackmail and eight counts of distributing 5,272 indecent child images and videos, many category A - the most serious.  

He is also charged with possessing category A images and failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements by not telling police his whereabouts. 

He was remanded into custody until a hearing at Norwich Crown Court on May 2.

A man found guilty of the sexual abuse of young girls has been sentenced to nine years’ imprisonment, after the brave survivors revealed his repeated assaults.

Martin Prior, aged 36, targeted the children in the mid to late 2000s, but it wasn’t until 2020 that his offending came to light, when the survivors disclosed his abuse to police officers as part of a separate investigation.

As a result, Northamptonshire Police’s Child Protection team began an investigation into Prior, identifying at least three victims.

Prior, of Crestline Court, Northampton, went on to be charged with one count of rape of a girl under 13, six counts of sexually assaulting a girl under 13 by touching, one count of sexual assault of a female, and one count of causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity – no penetration.

Following a trial at Northampton Crown Court, on May 8 Prior was found not guilty of the rape and sexual assault of a female charges but found guilty of the remaining seven offences.

On Friday, June 27, he returned to the same court where he was sentenced to a total of nine years in prison. Prior will have to serve two-thirds of his sentence before being eligible for parole.

Prior was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, designed to prevent future offending, and was placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely.

Speaking afterwards, investigating officer Detective Constable Laura Beeby said: “Martin Prior is a sexual predator, who as an adult deliberately targeted children for his own sexual gratification.

“All of these children were vulnerable due to their age, and the repeated abuse Prior subjected them to has caused them significant and lasting harm and distress.

“Their courage in finally revealing Prior’s abhorrent offending cannot be overstated, and it is thanks to their bravery that he has been proven to be an abuser and a liar.

“The only shame and guilt in a case like this lies with the offender, and I hope this outcome can provide some small comfort to the survivors as they continue to heal.”

New police technology which makes it easier to see bruising in darker skin has snared two rapists.

“A game-changing” device - known as Project Archway - which allow officers to better assess victims’ injuries by making it easier to photograph and visualise bruising was used in the case against him.

Samuel Keys convicted thanks to Archway, 26, from Corby, Northamptonshire, admitted five counts of rape against a woman and faces a lengthy jail term in September.

A 25-year-old registered sex offender has been handed a 64-week prison term after he breached Sex Offenders’ Register requirements.

In December 2023, Davood Alekozai was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register (SOR) for five years after he was convicted of a sexual assault which took place in 2022.

As part of his SOR requirements, Alekozai had to complete an annual notification requirement as well as inform police of any aliases used online.

However, after Alekozai’s devices were reviewed following a routine visit, he was found to be using aliases online that he had not told police about. He also failed to complete his annual notification requirement.

Alekozai, previously of Northampton, was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of failing to comply with SOR requirements.

After pleading guilty to the offences at Northampton Crown Court, Alekozai returned to the same last month (May 15) where he was sentenced to 64 weeks in prison.

Lead investigator, Police Constable Andy Glover from the Force’s MOSOVO Team, which closely manages sexual and violent offenders, said: “These breaches may seem very minor but it’s so important for us to manage those on the Sex Offenders’ Register very carefully.

“Any breaches are dealt with robustly and we take an absolute zero-tolerance approach.

“I hope this reassures our local residents and I want to be clear that we will continue working hard to keep people in our county safe.”

A 44-year-old man has been sent to prison for 13 years after he was found guilty of nine child sex offences.

Nicholas Ford, previously of Clifton Square, Corby, started abusing the girl when she was 12-years-old, with the abuse continuing for two years.

On three occasions, Ford raped the girl, and sexually assaulted her numerous times.

When the girl was 18-years-old, she told her partner what had happened and with their support, reported it to Northamptonshire Police.

Ford was arrested and despite denying the offences in his police interview, was charged with three counts of rape and six counts of sexual assault.

A five-day trial which ended at Northampton Crown Court on March 7 saw the jury convict Ford of all nine offences after just over three hours of deliberation.

He returned to the same court yesterday (Tuesday, May 6) where he was sentenced to 13 years in prison.
