The incident happened in October 2024 on Kings Road, Swansea.
30-year-old Mohangopi Tadiboyina from Brynmill was sentenced to eight years in prison following his conviction.
Tadiboyina appeared before Swansea Crown Court on Friday September 4 where he was sentenced for one count of attempt to rape a woman and one count of sexual assault. This followed a three-day trial in July which found him guilty of both counts.
Tadiboyina targeted the lone victim whilst she was walking the street at night. Following the attack the woman was able to flee and alert a passer-by who assisted her in reporting the incident.
