Paignton sex offender jailed for 22 months after Dawlish exposure and SHPO breach
Martin Lewis, 56, of Totnes Road, Paignton, has been jailed for 22 months after exposing himself in Dawlish and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Lewis pleaded guilty at Exeter Crown Court. The court heard he exposed his genitals in Dawlish so that someone would see and be caused alarm or distress. He also failed to notify police that he had a device capable of accessing the internet, in breach of his SHPO, and was found in possession of amphetamine and cannabis.
He was sentenced to 22 months’ imprisonment and ordered to sign the sex offender register.
Lewis is a convicted sex offender who was already subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order intended to restrict his behaviour and protect the public. The case formed part of court listings for defendants appearing between 25 August and 2 September.
