Description
A man has been jailed for four-and-a-half years after he admitted raping a woman in Stoke-on-Trent.
John Williams, 52, from Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 3 September) after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to raping a woman aged 16 or over.
It happened inside a house in 2021.
Afterwards, the survivor contacted us and told officers about what had happened.
We went on to secure all the evidence needed to charge Williams with rape.
