Sheffield Man Jailed for 15 Years After Raping Girl Under 13
Shaun Ali, 41, formerly of Barnsley Road in Fir Vale, Sheffield, has been jailed for 15 years for raping a young girl under 13.
He was convicted of two counts of rape of a child after a trial at Sheffield Crown Court. The girl’s mother said Ali made threats and “underestimated” her daughter, who showed courage in coming forward. The abuse “took her childhood,” leading to police involvement, social workers and hospital visits.
Judge Anthony Dunne sentenced him on 10 July.
