Description
A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to six years in prison for serious sexual and violent offences.
Kerr Armstrong, was found guilty on Tuesday, 31 March, 2026 of offences including rape and assault. He was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday, 13 May, 2026.
The offences took place between February, 2020 and December, 2021 in the East Lothian, Midlothian and Scottish Borders areas.
Constable Craig Turnbull said:
"Armstrong is a violent and depraved individual who now faces the consequences of his abhorrent actions.
"Our thoughts remain with his victim and I hope his sentencing provides her with some measure of comfort. His conviction is as a direct result of her strength in coming forward and assisting our investigation.
