Description
A 65-year-old paedophile who indecently assaulted a girl in the 1990s has been jailed for 11 years.
Lloyd Burgess, of Sheep Street, Devizes, appeared at Winchester Crown Court on March 17 and pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault committed between October 1995 and October 1998. He was sentenced at the same court on May 1.
Wiltshire Police received a report in 2021 that Burgess had sexually assaulted the girl, who was around 11 years old at the time. He was arrested, charged and later pleaded guilty.
As well as the jail term, Burgess was given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and must sign the Sex Offenders Register.
