Homeless predator Darlington Asante, 27, posed as a Good Samaritan to help a drunk woman who fell in the street, but preyed on her vulnerability, carrying her to his makeshift shelter on Recreation Place and raping her.
Judge Robin Mairs sentenced him to nine years in custody with a three-year extended licence, totaling 12 years, and placed him on the sex offender register for life.
