Description
A child sex offender from Newcastle-under-Lyme has been jailed.
Paul Leon, aged 63, of Kidsgrove, was given a 10-year sentence at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday 17 April after he was previously found guilty following a trial of two counts of sexual assault of a girl.
The offences happened more than five years ago before the victim bravely came forward and told someone what happened to her.
We started work to build the case and questioned Leon in custody. He denied everything and continued to deny it until a jury deemed him guilty following a trial in November last year.
As part of his sentencing, Leon was given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
