Mark Lucas was jailed for 12 years after subjecting a young girl to years of sexual abuse.
The brave victim came forward after eight years of abuse. Mark Lucas was arrested a few days later the Bedfordshire Police Protecting Vulnerable People (PVP) team.
Lucas, 44, pled guilty to three counts of rape of a girl under 13 and one count of attempted rape of a girl under 13. He also pleaded guilty to ten counts of sexual assault and two counts of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.
He appeared at Luton Crown Court and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. He was also handed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offender register.
