A pervert will spend the next two years in prison following a Teesside sex attack.
George Reeves, 26, appeared at Bradford Crown Court on Friday to be sentenced following an assault on a woman in Stockton. The Whitby man pleaded not guilty to "assault by penetration" but was convicted following a trial.
The charge states the woman - who cannot be named for legal reasons - "did not consent and the defendant did not reasonably believe that she was consenting." Reeves, of Rosedale Close, listened on videolink from Durham Prison as the case was outlined by prosecutor Ian West.
He appeared to be sobbing as the offence details were heard in court and was handed a two-year prison sentence. The defendant was also made subject of sex offender notification requirements for ten years and ordered to pay a victim surcharge.
