Description

A KEIGHLEY man arrested following a Facebook 'sting' has been jailed for two years.

David Houldsworth, 58, of Skipton Road, admitted two charges – sexual communication with a child and causing/inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

In addition to the jail sentence, handed down at Bradford Crown Court, Houldsworth will have to sign on the sex offenders register for ten years and will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order when he’s released.

Detective Constable Adam Flaxington, from the Bradford district policing online investigations team, says: "This was a lengthy, two-year investigation and I welcome the guilty plea and sentence the court has handed down.

"In Houldsworth’s conversations he demonstrated clear intent to commit sexual offending against young children, and it is fortunate the person he thought he was speaking with wasn't a child."
