Peter Gibson, from Middlesbrough, was jailed in November 2013 for 13 years and six months after pleading guilty to 15 sexual offences against the girls.
The offences included four counts of rape of a young girl in the 1990s and took place in Gibsons former home in Bowburn.
At the time of Gibsons sentencing, aged 66, Durham Crown Court heard he had a record of sexual offences dating back to 1967.
In 1998 he was sentenced to six years for the rape of a child. He was also placed on the sex offenders register for life.
Jailing Gibson, of The Crescent, Middlesbrough, in 2013, Judge Christopher Prince told him: You have a long-standing sexual predilection for young children.
