A PAEDOPHILE who groomed young girls online before persuading them to perform sex acts in front of a webcam was jailed for five years by a judge sitting at Salisbury Crown Court yesterday.
Gary Palmer, 28, of Hazel Close, Salisbury, who met his victims through Internet chat rooms, was also found in possession of 513 pornographic photographs of children and 355 movies between levels one to four, with level 5 being the most serious type of image.
He was jailed for five years and will be on licence for a further three years.
Palmer will also remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life, was made subject to a 10-year sexual offences prevention order and was barred from having contact with anyone under 18 on his own.
