Description
A man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage schoolgirl.
Carl Briggs, 20, appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Monday changed with three counts of sexual assault on a female. Briggs, of Essex Street, Middlesbrough, spoke in court to confirm his identify and enter his three guilty pleas.
During the short hearing, the court heard the three incidents took place between June and December 2018.
The charges say Briggs 'intentionally touched a girl aged 14 and that touching was sexual when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe that she was consenting.'
No further details of the case were outlined.
District Judge Helen Cousins granted Briggs unconditional bail and ordered for a pre-sentence report to be prepared for a hearing on April 27. The case is listed for mention on April 14.
