Man sentenced to 17 years for non-recent sexual abuse in Bolton
Donald Glen (1/8/1946) from Bolton was yesterday (Wednesday 21 December) sentenced to 17 years after being found guilty at trial to two counts of rape of a child under 13 and ten counts of sexual assault on a child under 13.
Detective Constable Stacey Gardner, of Boltons CID, said Sexual abuse can have a devastating and long-lasting impact on victims. This investigation demonstrates our ongoing and determined commitment to ensuring that perpetrators are brought to justice.
We would like to commend and thank the victim for the courage, strength and dignity they have demonstrated in coming forward to the police and supporting this investigation. We hope the sentencing offers some closure knowing that he is finally facing the consequences of his actions.
