A paedophile has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years for sexually abusing two young girls.
Keith Morris, 63, whose address was given as Beechtrees, Digmoor, Skelmersdale, Lancashire, was convicted on two counts of indecent assault .
The jury at Preston Crown Court failed to reach a verdict on a rape charge. Morris, who had been living in Berwick-on-Tweed, denied the abuse charges.
He was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for the rest of his life.
Morris has also been banned from working with children on his release.
'Conspiracy' rejected
Sentencing, Judge Peter Openshaw QC told Morris he posed an obvious risk to children.
Morris had claimed he was the victim of a "wicked conspiracy", but Judge Openshaw said his failure to admit the charges showed he had not shown the "slightest regret or remorse".
The charges dated back over a number of years.
His barrister David Owen said Morris suffered from angina, diabetes and anaemia, which would make the sentence much harsher.
But Judge Openshaw said the sentence reflected what were "very serious offences".
Morris also faced several other charges of downloaded child porn from the internet.
It was ordered those allegations should lie on his file.
