A man who sexually assaulted a woman in woodland in Slough has been jailed.
Sorin Anitei attacked his victim, a woman in her forties, in woodland near to Slough Road on January 9.
She suffered serious bruising and a broken nose in the assault.
Anitei was arrested on 12 January and charged the following day.
The 46-year-old, of no fixed abode, admitted one count each of sexual assault by touching and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday to one year and nine months in prison.
Anitei was also placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
Thames Valley Police investigating officer, Detective Constable Thomas Harman, based at Slough police station, said: “Sorin Anitei sexually assaulted and badly injured a vulnerable woman in a secluded location.
“I believe the serious nature of this offence is reflected in the sentence, which will also help prevent him from further offending.
“I would also like to thank the members of public that stopped to help the victim.”
