Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for various sex offences in Wokingham.
James Dyer, aged 37, of HMP Five Wells, was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday (9/7).
He was previously put on the sex offenders register for life.
Dyer pleaded guilty to engaging in sexual communication with a child, causing a child to watch/look at an image of sexual activity and breaching his Sexual Harm Protection Order.
On 28 February last year, the victims mother checked the victims phone and discovered Instagram messages of a sexual nature from Dyer.
Dyer had also sent the victim videos of himself containing sexual content and voice notes of a sexual nature.
These messages, videos and voice notes were sent to the victim between 2 February and 20 February, last year.
Dyer was already subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order at this time which prohibited him from communicating with a child under 16, which he breached.
He was arrested at a voluntary interview on 8 September last year, whilst already in prison.

Sex offender James Dyer, 34, who also sent teenage girls indecent videos jailed and given restraining order against 'couragous' victims
A man who sent indecent videos including to two teenage girls and tried to drag a woman out of her car after asking her to have sex with him has been jailed.
Thames Valley Police praised the "bravery and courage" of the victims of James Dyer who carried out his sickening offences in Reading.
Police branded Dyer, 34, as someone who "displayed all the hallmarks of a dangerous offender" and said he was "intent on sexual contact with young women and unable to control himself".
At Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, August 25, Dyer of Longs Way, Wokingham, was handed a two years and six months jail sentence after he had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of sending an indecent or grossly offensive electronic communication with intent to cause distress or anxiety, as well as one count each of sexual assault and common assault.
In a statement after the case Thames Valley Police said that in early April this year, Dyer sent videos of "a sexual nature to two teenage girls and a woman in her 20s as well as grossly offensive comments".
Police said on April 16, Dyer opened the door of a parked car in Reading and attempted to drag out the victim, a woman in her 20s "who was sat inside whilst asking her to have sex with him. "
The victim was able to get away.
As well as his jail sentence, Dyer, was also issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order which is in place for 10 years.
Restraining orders were also granted against him in relation to his victims which are also in place for 10 years.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Nicola Henderson, based at Reading Police Station, said: At the time of these offences were committed Dyer displayed all the hallmarks of a dangerous offender who was intent on sexual contact with young women and unable to control himself.
He will serve a custodial prison sentence and placed on the sex offenders register which allows for the supervision of him when he is released from prison to help protect the public.
