Paedophile Simon David Tovey, who was again caught with illegal images of children on his mobile phone.
The 45-year-old was arrested in July after his offender manager carried out a spot check on his Samsung handset.
Tovey admitted two counts of downloading indecent images of children at Leicester Crown Court.
He also pleaded guilty to five counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO) by deleting text messages and images as well as hiding his internet history by installing an application which enabled private viewing, in July this year.
Tovey, formerly of the Dawn Centre, Conduit Street, Highfields, Leicester, was given a community order in 2014, for 10 offences of possessing indecent images of children and was placed on a five year SHPO, so his computer and phone use could be monitored by the authorities.
He was back in court in 2019 and jailed for two-and-a-half years, for three counts of possessing indecent images of children, one offence of possessing extreme pornography and three counts of breaching the SHPO - which was extended to run indefinitely.
