We're pleased to announce that Offenders.org.uk now accepts Bitcoin (BTC) donations, giving supporters another way to contribute to the running of the website.
Another way to support the site
Maintaining a public directory involves ongoing hosting, development and maintenance. Donations help support that work and the continued improvement of the site's features and accessibility.
We recognise that not everyone wants to donate using conventional payment methods. Accepting Bitcoin offers an additional option for people who prefer to contribute using cryptocurrency.
Choose an amount that suits you
Our Bitcoin donation page offers suggested donation amounts of £5, £10, £20, £50 and £100, as well as the option to enter your own amount.
The amount you choose is used to create a Bitcoin payment request. You can then complete the donation using a compatible Bitcoin wallet.
Powered by our own payment infrastructure
Bitcoin donations are processed through our self-hosted BTCPay Server. This allows us to accept Bitcoin directly using infrastructure we operate, rather than relying on a conventional card checkout for these payments.
Bitcoin transactions take place on the Bitcoin network. Please check the payment details carefully before sending, as confirmed Bitcoin payments generally cannot be reversed.
Thank you for your support
Whether you make a donation or simply use the site and share constructive feedback, your support is appreciated. We will continue working to improve Offenders.org.uk and make its information easier to access.
To contribute, visit the Bitcoin donation page from the site's donation section.
